My room mate and I made the decision to embark on this adventure, and we both agree that it was without a doubt the most memorable experience of our lives. Mohamed, our tour guide, was really kind and helpful during our time together, and he took very good care of us. The desert is a breathtaking and beautiful place to visit. The accommodations were wonderful, and they even had a pool. Along the route, there were a number of rest spots with restrooms and refreshment areas . We had a great time participating in the many outdoor activities that were available, particularly the horseback riding, hiking, and quad biking. I highly recommend them!
From beginning to end, our 5-day journey was an incredible experience. The high point? The hot air balloon ride, camel ride, and quad riding were definitely highlights. An adventure seeker's dream comes true when they can ride a quad bike across desert dunes, swing softly on a camel's back, or fly above stunning vistas in a hot air balloon! Start the journey from Marrakech and cover the Black Desert followed by the dunes of Ramlia and Ouzina. Explore the famous dunes of Merzouga in an off-road vehicle and travel past the Dades and Tinghir valleys. Your adventure comes to an end in Marrakech after you have visited the Todra canyons.
Accompanying you during this trip will be an experienced tour guide. Camels will be available in certain locations to ensure that you can continue the trip when you are tired walking. Items needed for camping, like food, sleeping bags, and tents, will be carried along and you will use local guesthouses for your evening shower. There is also an option to stay in hotels at some destinations.
Our tour with Anouar was fantastic! He was an amazing guide and shared so much about the Moroccan culture, traditions and people throughout our travels. Although the driving time was quite long, we were able to view so much of the countryside and stop to take pictures whenever we wanted. The scheduled tour stops were beautiful and Anouar would tell us where to get the best pictures or give us some background on its history. The riad and desert camp were also fabulous - very clean, well decorated and both had delicious meals.
