Moroccan Sahara Desert Tours in July 2026

This Moroccan adventure was a trip of a lifetime. The Moroccan people were warm and welcoming, we felt safe everywhere we went, and our children were exposed to cultures and topographies unique to this part of the world. We love traveling with Nat Geo / G Adventures because they take care of every logistical detail as soon as you land, so we were free to enjoy and immerse ourselves in the experience. Our guides and our driver were EXCELLENT every step of the way, and by the end, we all (including the other family we met and traveled with on the tour) felt like family. This was a very special trip that our family will never forget. Can't wait for the next one!

My 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga with El Khalil and his team was flawless from beginning to end. Ali welcomed us at the airport, and his hospitality set the tone for the entire trip. Khalil crafted the perfect itinerary for our Moroccan adventure! Each day was filled with breathtaking scenery, rich culture, and delightful food. Hicham, our guide, was a gem—he was informative and fun, making our walks through the cities enjoyable. One of my favorite experiences was our cooking class, where we learned to make a delicious tagine. The only issue we faced was some confusion about our transportation arrangements, but Hicham quickly sorted it out. We returned home with beautiful memories and a desire to return!

Our three-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes exceeded all expectations. The diverse scenery of the Middle Atlas Mountains, combined with visits to cultural gems like Ait Ben Haddou, made the journey truly special. The highlight was the night spent in the Erg Chebbi dunes, featuring a breathtaking sunset camel ride and an evening of traditional Berber music around a campfire. The entire experience was flawlessly organized, with comfortable transportation and delicious meals. This adventure is a must-do for anyone visiting Morocco!

Khalil was the ideal guide for our three-day excursion. I can't recommend this experience highly enough and would book it again in a heartbeat. Expect to spend some time in the car, but the journey is filled with captivating stops at stunning locations. The views along the way are breathtaking, and the night spent in the desert is one of the most mesmerizing experiences I've ever had. This adventure is absolutely worth it, and I would gladly do it all over again!
