Planning to visit Luxor? Then we have the perfect tour for you. Join us on this three-day, guided tour of Luxor and get the chance to discover the rich antiquity and stunning history of a city often referred to as the largest open-air museum in the world with an experienced Egyptologist as your tour guide.
The first two days of the itinerary involves seeing the most popular sights in Luxor, including the temple complex of Karnak, Valley of the Kings and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Also included is a visit to the Luxor Museum, home to a rich collection of artwork dedicated to pharaohs.
However, this tour brings you face to face with not so well-known but equally impressive sights in the city, like the temples of Hathor and Abydos. While Hathor has inscriptions referring to the famous Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and her son Ceasrion, Abydos is considered to be older than pyramids by some scholars.
Please note that accommodation is not included in he tour price. We can help you book rooms at an additional cost or you can book them yourself. For more details about the tour, please go through the itinerary below.

This was one of the most incredible trips I've ever been on. *personal info removed by Feefo* was a fabulous tour manager and made the trip so entertaining and informative. It was very fast paced and I had not much sleep but it was worth it for all of the wonderful sites we saw and experiences we had. The luxury cruise boat was a highlight with all of its amenities, as were all of the temples we visited. Included meals were fine but we bought snacks to make up for any food we didn't like. Our group was a large one but pretty much everyone got on well together and had a blast. I would have loved an extra day in Hurghada to explore the town as we arrived at night and left at 7.30am so didn't get time to explore. Perhaps if the first day didn't start at 7pm (as Day 1 doesn't really count as a day since it's just a registration meeting) and was an afternoon of exploring Cairo that might have made room for more time somewhere else at the other end. Definitely take imodium tablets with you as over half of the group got sick throughout the week. Overall the whole week was amazing. I've made some friends for life and was so sad to leave at the end.
Enjoy three nights and four days aboard Dahabiya and sail from Aswan to Luxor. This luxury cruise is designed especially to enjoy every moment you spend on it while taking in the picturesque landscapes on the banks of the magnificent Nile River. Also included in the itinerary are some of the most important destinations in Egypt like Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu temples as well as the sprawling ruins of Karnak, one of the largest temple complexes in the world.
The best thing about this cruise line is that you can avoid noise and relax while enjoying every moment of your stay. Please note that a four-night, five-day option is also available from Luxor to Aswan. Feel free to reach out to us for quote and additional information.
At 7:00 am you are picked-up from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor by our guide and transferred to Abydos city by private A/C vehicle.
Abydos city is about 420 km to the south of Cairo in Sohag Government, and 135 km from Luxor. We drive north from Luxor for a day to see two of the most complete temples in Egypt.
We arrive in Abydos and start the day tour discovering the ancient sites. First we visit the Abydos Temple, dedicated to the Ancient Egyptian god of the underworld. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt.
Then we continue to visit the Temple of Hathor - goddess of love and joy. The temple is located in Dendara, which is 135 km north of Luxor.
Temple of Hathor at Dendara may be the best preserved in Egypt with full color still visible on its walls. The ancient Egyptians believed that the Lord of the underworld is buried there. The temple was built by King Seti I, and completed by King Ramsess II, known as temple of Seti I.
At the end of the Tour around 17:00 pm transfer back to the hotel in Luxor .
