A 7-day Langtang trek with this local tour operator is highly recommended! We had five wonderful, tough, fun, beautiful, and overwhelming days of trekking, experiencing Nepal’s raw natural power up close. We hiked from Syabrubesi to Kyanjin Gompa (a 2,400-meter altitude gain!) in three days and descended in two. Along the way, we passed through lush forests, steep mountain slopes, and even snowy trails. When the weather was clear, the views of countless towering peaks were absolutely unforgettable. The entire experience was guided by our experienced guide, Binod, and our knees were especially grateful to have the kind porter, Rajendra, with us. Binod managed everything perfectly, paid close attention to how we were feeling, and adjusted the pace according to our needs. He was also very aware of altitude sickness symptoms. We took Diamox but didn’t experience any issues. Unfortunately, I caught a bad cold just before the trek, but Binod was ready with medicine, Strepsils, and ginger tea. He and Rajendra make a fun duo, adding to the fantastic experience! Along the way, the company were easy to reach if we needed any additional assistance – though we never actually had to. We were two sisters on this adventure, and we are SO happy that we gave ourselves this experience!

In April 2025 we set off on a trek with the aim of climbing Mera Peak. The journey took us a total of 16 days. The trek was very well organised, thanks to our great guide Chhiyang Banapish we always knew what to expect the next day, we always had enough water and food on the way, he always arranged good accommodation for us and togeher with the porter they took great care of our comfort and safety. I really appreciate that we went the whole way with one guide, who managed to get to know us during that time (I do not recommend going with a trekking guide and changing guides in Khare, they do not know you, they do not know how you have fared on the trek up to that point). Our guide was very reliable, thanks to him and his proper guidance and sufficient acclimatisation, we managed to reach the summit, although I was tired, but he was able to motivate me and really accompany me to the summit. I would like to thank him and our porter very much, as well as the agency. I would definitely use their services again next time.

It represents a journey to some of the most enchanting, alluring, and mystical peaks and mountainscapes around Manaslu and combines it with the magical scenes of Tsum Valley. Manaslu, the eighth highest peak on the planet, is sure to be one of the highlights of your Manaslu tour. The Buddhist charm of Tsum Valley is incredibly refreshing as well. We drive to Arughat from Kathmandu where the trek commences. Passing through terraced fields and small villages, we walk past Budhi Gandaki reaching the village of Lapubesi. The walk to Tatopani crosses forests and small villages, bestows a hot spring bath to relax in the evening. Views of Sringi Himal accompanies us on the way to Philim. Passing Chumling we reach Chhokangparo in the Upper Tsum Valley with towering views of Ganesh Himal, Boudha Himal and Himal Chuli. En route to Nile/Chhule, we pass through Piren Phu (pigeon cave), a sacred location which preserved Buddhist murals, scripts and carved stones where we stop for exploration. Our next stop is the Mu Gompa at 3700m from where we move to Rachen Gompa, a nunnery. The walk to Gumba Lungdang passes through pine and rhododendron forests and crosses the Siyar Khola. We rest here and take a trip to the Ganesh Himal Base Camp. The route to Lokpa, our next stop has no proper lodging or facilities, so we start early. From Lokpa to Ghap to Lho, we pass Gurung and Thakali villages. At Samagaon, we take a rest for another day and explore the village. We gradually gain altitude from here to Samdo, Dharmasala and cross the Larke La pass at 5200m to reach Bhimtang which marks the end of the trek. We will now begin our journey back passing through Pokhara and the way back. Whether you wish to stay in Pokhara for a couple of days or go all the way back to Kathmandu is up to you.

With a variety to rival the Annapurna region, it’s no exaggeration to say Manaslu’s time has come. Forget the jams of the more established routes. We had a great experience with Khum and this company. The transport to and from the trek was smooth. The trek holds breath-taking views with mostly straightforward days for a fit walker with a few challenging days. I highly recommend the trek for any nature lover and enthusiastic trekker. It is, however, the guide and porter that absolutely make the trek! They really do become like family on the trek. Raju has mastered the art of being a guide. He knows well when to give space and when to engage with encouragement or knowledge. We met many guides on the trek and, whilst they were all lovely, we felt especially fortunate to have Raju with his uplifting energy, enthusiastic knowledge and witty humour. Raju made the experience perfect. He acquired the best rooms he could to look after us as one of had a stomach infection. The rooms were better than expected all the way round as Raju managed to get us private rooms at every tea house and always offered extra blankets and pillows! He was patient and kind and remained positive towards achieving our goal despite the difficult illness. He also supplied the medicine which cured us and allowed us to complete the trek. It’s safe to say this would not have happened without Raju! We played cards every night and we shared different games with each other, this was a real highlight! Nima was also a lovely and caring porter who with his limited English communicated largely in kindness and respect. He was always there to help and support and several times returned from dropping the heavy bag to help! Despite the illness, the trip ran smoothly because of Raju and Nima and it has perpetuated our deep love for Nepal and a desperation to return and complete more treks. We can’t thank Raju and Nima enough for their excellency and for making our trip so special!

Lobuche Peak actually includes two different summits, East (6119m.) and West (6145m.). An uninterrupted edge links them but there is a significant distance between the two. The east is identified as a trekking peak while the west is regarded as an expedition peak (meaning that it is only for experienced climbers). This climbing trip is for Lobuche East Peak - a climbing peak, and hence a relatively easy climbing peak (which can be done also if you do not have any previous climbing experience), firstly climbed by Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa in 1984. Lobuche East Peak, an eye-catching trekking peak, is a great little challenge. Its South Face goes down to the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier. Lobuche East is ascended by moving up a marked notch hiking up steep snowy slopes. Most of the times, the peak is ascended on a ridge leading up to the summit. Lobuche East peak will reward you stunning views of mighty Mt. Everest as well as many peaks in the Rongbuk region of Tibet. The ecstatic period you will get after scaling one of the famous Peaks in the Everest region will be a memorable experience, rewarded among others by stunning views. Other great mountains that you will witness are Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Makalu. We started our trip from Sotikhola though the jeep can go up to Machhakhola. we didn't expect good Lodges in this trip but our tour operator provided us majority of the stay attached room with comfortable bed. Food was yummy. took jeep from Dharapani as we didn't want to walk along the road.
