The first stop on this itinerary is Amer Fort, the bastion of the Kachhwahas that stands atop a hill. See the fort in all it's architectural glory set against a picturesque natural backdrop. Shortly after this, your driver will take you to see Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake.

Join us on this eight-hour tour of Udaipur and discover the rich history and architectural glory of this city of Rajputs. Your English-speaking driver will pick you up from your hotel or location in Udaipur and drive you to Udaipur City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Maharana Udai Singh started building this palace in 1559 AD. However it was completed only in the 18th century by his successors.
The palace is situated on the banks of Lake Pichola, a beautiful, artificial, manmade lake that was dug in 1362 AD and named after the nearby Picholi Village. Even now, part of the property is still owned by the present king of Udaipur while the rest has been converted into hotels and museums.
The museums inside this palace also display the wardrobe and weapons used by past rulers and gives you the chance to learn more about the regal lifestyle of the rulers of Udaipur. We will then head for the famous Shree Jagdish Temple, a three-story, 79-feet-high temple built by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651 AD. This temple is still owned and managed by the royal family of Udaipur. Every year, thousands of devotees come to worship in this temple.
Travel to Dudh Talai, located on the banks of Lake Pichola, near the City Palace next. Enjoy beautiful views of Lake Pichola, Jagmandir Island Palace and Udaivilas as well as the gorgeous Aravalli range and Udiapur's old city. Walk around the lake and see various species of birds. You might also want to relax in the lush green garden near the lake before it's time to drive back to your hotel.

This tour was the highlight of our time in Varanasi over the weekend. Great way to see Old Varanasi and Bharat was an excellent guide with very insightful commentary of the history and points of interest. Fantastic breakfast and opportunities to purchase things on the way, the Spice Market was brilliant and took home lovely flavoured tea and spices for cooking curries at home.
Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Varanasi, a definite must!!!

The tomb, located in Nizamuddin East, was declared a Unesco World Heritage site in 1993. It is also the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent.
Visit another Unesco World Heritage site, Qutab Minar, a soaring, 73-meter tower and the tallest brick minaret in the world. Head for Old Delhi now. Your first stop is Jama Masjid, a highly decorative mosque with three large gates, four towers and two 40-metre-high minarets constructed of red sandstone and white marble. Travellers can hire robes at the northern gate. This may be the only time you get to dress like a local without feeling like an outsider so make the most of it.
Travel to India Gate, located at the centre of New Delhi, next. This 42-metre-high archway commemorates the sacrifice made by 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I. We will then take you to the massive Red Fort, a historic fort that rises above the clamour of Old Delhi and was built by the Mughals.
