Going valley in the morning over 4000m was severe coldness in winter because no sunshine due to surrounding mountains and wind. (Dingboche to Lobche)
It might be better to add 1 more layer, considering the weather.
Since a bit earlier than year end holiday, I could spend more quiet time.
On the way to back, I met more people who were going up.
Mr Bibek, the guide was knowledgeable and explained the mountains.
He was good advisor also for health conditions but you should know yourself first.

We had an amazing experience trekking for 12 days to EBC! Everything from when we first landed in Kathmandu to when we left was awesome. Shiva and his team were most helpful and everything was as explained and said within our package. If you are interested in doing a tour I'd highly recommend Shivas company and Binod our guide! The trek was excellent although tough in the short timescale but I wanted the challenge. For others make sure youre happy with the non acclimatisation days, I had the full information and I chose to take the shorter trek. Off season in January although cold was a great time to trek as far less people on the trail as I hear spring time is just to hectic. Even in the winter you get warm during the daytime treking.

Their communication before the trek was excellent, ensuring that we were well-prepared for the journey ahead. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Bharat and transferred to our hotel. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla was breathtaking and set the tone for an unforgettable trip. The trek to Namche and the rest day were well-planned, with a hike to Hotel Everest View that offered stunning views of Himalayas including Mt Everest and more.
The highlight of the trek was undoubtedly the journey to Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar. The scenery was awe-inspiring, and the team ensured that we were safe and comfortable throughout the trek. We took a helicopter ride back to Kathmandu from Gorekshep and it was an adventure we will never forget.
Our trekking guide Ram, and our porter Sanu were experienced and attentive, ensuring that we had a comfortable and enjoyable trekking experience.

The climb to Island Peak in 2017 was a great accomplishment for me. This was a very beautiful adventure arranged by the local operator. I trekked to Everest Base Camp and on the way back, I crossed the Kongmala Pass and went to Island peak from Chukung. The whole package was well organized, the guide was an experienced guy who trekked over 20 years in the Himalayas. I am very thankful to Upendra for arranging this holiday for me.

I couldn't imagine an easier and better experience for getting to the Everest base camp trek. The guide made the trip so easy for us. His recommendations keep us safe throughout the trip and healthy. I believe this is thanks to the guide’s 5 years of experience and giving us the best advice to make it safely and happily to base camp. The best accommodations and looked after me when I wasn’t feeling well from altitude the night before base camp. I worried about the weather to get out of Lukla and the guide eased our minds that we would be taken care of if other arrangements needed to be made to get home safely.
