Loved this trip. The Ugandan people we met along the way were friendly and helpful. The wildlife was amazing and plentiful. The gorilla and chimpanzee tracking was what this trip had been about, was worth spending the money on if you are wanting to see them in their natural habitat and have a close up experience. We spent 2 weeks (April 2023) of dreams with the route offered by this travel specialist in southern Ethiopia. Accompanied by an excellent driver with a very comfortable 4x4 car and a guide fluent in English and French and rich in very broad knowledge of his country, its history, the many different tribes, the fauna, religions, different climates, climate, a real walking bible! We shared 10 days with these two very nice people and the many exchanges were friendly. A delight. We particularly liked the visits to the different tribes (Dorze, Mursi, Karo, Arbore, Hamer, Sidama and others) where we could share the preparation and their meal, the coffee ceremonies and even their dances. The different lodges for the night were all of very good quality and we really regret that actually only few tourists choose to travel through this beautiful country and its many ethnic groups so different and happy to share their daily life. Betty and Yaye prepared our journeys over 10 days and we had only very good surprises, everything far exceeded our initial expectations. I thought it might be useful to give a little more info about the walking on this trip as I was very concerned I had bitten off more than I could chew. I am nearly 73, fit , for my age, woman. Used to walking but I live in Essex so am not used to hills! I have walked in Vietnam and Georgia in the past 18 months however this trip was much more of a challenge because of altitude and heat. I was the oldest in the group of 11 with the youngest at 22(!) Whilst three of the group reached the peak a good hour ahead and two turned back the rest of us all succeeded. It was challenging however if I can do it others can!! Very tough on knees and my advice is to get your cardio up to scratch and go for it! Overall a fantastic trip with excellent walking, very basic camping, great food and Hery a wonderful, caring guide.

1) Airport pick up from Mount Kilimanjaro airport to moshi: excellent and on time. Eli is a safe driver. 2) 7day Lemosho route: guide, Good Luck, was professional and caring. Helped checked luggage pre-trek to ensure I have all equipment and clothing, potential risk assessment for the hike. Most importantly he helped me to reach the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro successfully despite being 4 hours later than everyone due to my slow speed. 3) Team: one guide, one chef, (Amos), one waiter (David). These were the main people who spoke to me. Great English. 4 porters who helped me as I was walking like a snail and had some slight toe injuries. Full team was very attentive to my needs and preferences of food, comfort level, questions about anything about Mount Kilimanjaro. Very friendly and patient crew.
