A relatively short but well-planned and extremely interesting exploration of the Golden Triangle, led by a simply wonderful and knowledgeable local resident (Indira) who steered us through the throngs of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur's streets and shared her local insight into all things India. Be prepared for lots of temples and forts, occasional traffic mayhem and architectural masterpieces. The local preparation and organisation meant we saw in a week what would have taken three times as long travelling independently (which I've done before in India), but we still saw the real country. The land of the Khumbu region is the home of Mt. Everest as well as several other 8000+ meter mountains. It is also a land of amazing adventure. While the Everest region is definitely an adventure, there are those experiences in the Khumbu region very few people ever have. One of them is climbing the three high mountain passes of the Mt. This trek takes you across three very high mountain passes: Kangma La (elev. 5500 m), Cho-La (elev. 5320 m) and Reno-La (elev. 5400 m). In addition, there is an opportunity to climb to the top of Mt. Kalapathar (elev. 5555 m). Much of this trek is in the wildest parts of the Himalayas where it is said the mysterious yeti resides. While you probably won’t see a yeti, you will see hardly any tourists either on this incredible journey.
The Mt. Everest Base Camp - 3 Passes Adventure Trek also includes some of the more popular places, including Everest Base Camp. There are spectacular monasteries, including the one at Tengboche, which features Mt. Everest as its backdrop. Enjoy the local hospitality at the administrative centre of Namche Bazar. Walk past terraced farms and through colourful stone villages. Sip tea with the Sherpa people and if you like, sample some of the local alcoholic drinks.

This 18-day, guided tour takes you to two of the most important highlights in the Everest region, Everest Base Camp and the Gokyo Lakes. See the soaring Himalayas, massive glaciers and glistening bodies of water perched amid snow-covered peaks, all in less than three weeks. Your journey to the base camp of the world's highest mountain kicks off on Day 2 with a flight to Lukla.
Follow the Dudh Kosi River as you head up to Everest Base Camp via Namche Bazaar, Tyangboche, Dingboche and other popular locations in the Khumbu region. Reach the base camp on Day 9 and enjoy a sunrise view of some of the highest mountains in the world from Kala Patthar the next morning. Head for the Gokyo Lakes next via the formidable Cho La Pass.

We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. What made this trip really special was how different each day felt. One day we were walking through old temples, the next we were sailing on a quiet bay. Vietnam was full of surprises. The people were friendly, the food was amazing, and every place had something new to offer. Ha Long Bay was a real highlight. The boat ride through those tall limestone rocks felt peaceful and looked like something from a movie. Even the meals on the boat were great!
I also liked how we didn’t just rush from place to place. There was time to look around, take pictures, and enjoy it all. Hoi An was beautiful with all the lanterns, and Hue had some really interesting history. Our guide explained everything in a simple and fun way, which made it more enjoyable.
Then we went to Singapore, and it felt like getting into the future. It was super clean and modern, but still full of culture. The Gardens by the Bay were stunning, especially at night. Everything on this tour ran butter smooth, the flights, the hotels, the transport. It was easy to relax and enjoy. Already thinking of booking a Korea tour. Really impressed by how they manage things!

The climb to Island Peak in 2017 was a great accomplishment for me. This was a very beautiful adventure arranged by the local operator. I trekked to Everest Base Camp and on the way back, I crossed the Kongmala Pass and went to Island peak from Chukung. The whole package was well organized, the guide was an experienced guy who trekked over 20 years in the Himalayas. I am very thankful to Upendra for arranging this holiday for me.
