This was truly a special outing. Such a privilege to meet ... incredibly strong, beautiful women. The afternoon of jewellery making was lovely - a nice way to interact. The area that we visited was so beautiful - very peaceful. Solomon and all of the supporting staff were truly wonderful - they took great care of me. They are tremendously dedicated and passionate individuals. I learned a lot from them during our conversations. All in all, a unique tourist experience that also gives back. The experience of seeing so many animals in their natural habitat exceeded our expectations and waking up to the sound & smells of the zebras & wildebeest at our campsite with girafe in the distance was unexpected and surreal - will never forget it!

This 6-day tour offers a glimpse of African wildlife and visits all the Big Five safari areas of Kenya, including Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, Samburu National Reserve and an awesome adventure combination of nature, wildlife, history and great tales from the locals of the old days. First, head to Samburu Reserve, the rugged and remote game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river. The reserve is home to several large game species including giraffe, zebra, and oryx as well as three of the big cats: the East African lion, Tanzanian cheetah and leopard. THere are also over 350 species of birds.
Then the tour heads to Lake Nakuru National Park, a gently undulating terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry rift valley vegetation. Twenty-seven percent of the park is composed of the Lake Nakuru waters. The park has a large reserve of over 400 species of birds, which make it an ideal site for bird lovers. The park is also a sanctuary of rhinoceros with approximately 45 black and 31 white rhinoceros and the Rothschild's Giraffe.

This was a life-transforming experience for us. To see wildlife in such abundance and in such natural conditions is extraordinary. We were shocked and delighted by the way most of the wildlife were ignorant to our jeep and our presence allowing us to get so close. We also learned so much about the local cultures and ways of life of the various tribes for which were all too ignorant prior to our trip. The trip afforded us the opportunity to make acquaintances with some of the locals which we enjoyed. Also, we are proud to participate in some small way in activities like G-sponsored clean stove project and Ubuntu Life and seeing how they transform lives.

G made what could have been a logistical nightmare to face alone, an easy and well-run trip through southern and east Africa. The interactions we were able to have with local communities were unforgettable and knowing exactly how our money is helping these regions goes a long way to justifying paying for a tour. All the CEOs were well organised and friendly and I feel like I learned a lot as well as seeing so many beautiful sights. There are improvements to be made in terms of the pricing of optional activities and the intense itinerary but overall, I had a life-changing trip.
