As seasoned travelers, we’ve done many tours around the world, but the Royal Tour of Egypt stands out as one of the best. Every detail was spot-on, from our personalized welcome at the airport to the final transfer back.
Our guide, Hossam, was a true gem patient, funny, and deeply passionate about his country’s history. He took care of us like family, and we never once felt like "just another group."
The Nile cruise was elegant and peaceful, with attentive staff and outstanding food. Every meal was beautifully presented, and the hospitality was unmatched.
Even logistics like internal flights, transfers, and hotel check-ins were handled smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing.

I was going to give this trip 4 stars but to be honest I couldn't think of any reason why it doesn't deserve 5 stars as it was an amazing holiday.
This was my first holiday of this type and it really was ace, I was lucky enough to be there with 7 other guests that were pretty awesome, we all got on pretty well and had a bit of friendly banter between us all.
I basiically put this down as a holiday of a lifetime and I will be doing more exodus trips based on how much fun I had on this one.

The tour was very well thought out and organised. We had a full programme of seeing temples, tombs and the way Egyptian people lived. There was never a spare moment.

Really enjoyed this tour. Itinerary was great. Pace was right, and our tour leader was amazing. Will definitely come back to Spain and Portugal again. Touring Morocco was great too, and very different from travelling in Europe. Had I done this tour as a single traveller it would have costed me a lot more, so got value for money as well. Will soon book my next trip. Recommended.

The tour is described as ‘full on’, which is an understatement. An incredible amount of sights and experiences is crammed into the week of travel; it’s exhausting and exhilarating. Moorish architecture, Roman mosaics, snowy mountains, the Sahara desert, souks and camels and macaques. Amazing.

Seeing all the ancient wonders, eating amazing food and exploring great cities with an awesome group of people just makes the best memories. Everything was so easy and well organised. Highly recommend
This was an excellent trip in April 2022 - great itinerary, so much culture, fantastic guide (Tarek) and such delicious food on the Nile boat. I loved every minute of it, and so glad I went. Particular highlights for me were the temples at Karnack, Valley of the Kings, the food on the Nile boat and the yellowness of the sandstorm that engulfed us on our way back from Abu Simbel! It is however, not a trip for the faint-hearted. There are LOTS of early starts. Almost every day was a start before 7am and on a couple of days, it was up at 3am. There is LOTS of walking, I think I did about 27 miles in the 9 days - to/from temples, round museums, in/out of airports, to/from local markets etc. Personally, I am not sure I would label this as 'leisurely' - yes, there were no hills to climb, but it was often uneven, sandy ground we walking on and when I went, Egypt was also going through a heatwave, so it was 43 or 44 degrees every day. I ignored some of the optional extras so I could have some down time on the boat. I would also add that in additional to the 'essentials' listed on the what to take, you also need: sunhat, scarf to cover your shoulders and women need to wear a long skirt for the day they are going into the mosque in Cairo. Refillable water bottle and light/comfortable walking shoes - very essential! Also, take US dollars as your main currency (small denominations and not ripped notes). You will need some Egyptian pounds for some of the attractions, but everywhere they just want hard currency - even at the local markets. Final word of advice - don't bother with the extra walk INSIDE the pyramid in Cairo. It is near vertical, baking hot and nothing to see at the end of it. My legs were wobbly for hours afterwards. Overall, this was a totally amazing trip though and hope you enjoy it.
