In May, I took some days off work for vacation in Arusha, Tanzania with Habari adventures. Entry point was Kilimanjaro airport before a visit to Serengeti and Kilimanjaro summit.
On our way to Serengeti/Kilimanjaro, the Habari guides felt like old friends. We shared a lot of stories, including local legends which I really enjoyed. I had a superb safari, with well organised tour guides. The journey was tiresome, but the team was always present and very supportive.
Every tiresome safari (adventure) was compensated with delicious meals and snacks. Thank you Habari adventures for this wonderful experience. I will surely come back.

The journey continues to Luxor, where you'll explore the vast necropolis of the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. You'll also marvel at the grandeur of Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex dedicated to the Theban Triad.
From Luxor, you'll head to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada for some well-deserved relaxation. Enjoy the resort's facilities, soak up the sun on the beach, or take advantage of the excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities. A variety of optional excursions, such as windsurfing, quad biking, and camel rides, are also available.

The words 'Cairo to Cape Town' conjure up images of African expeditions from days of old. Even today there are a multitude of challenges that this vast continent can throw at you. Desert, river, & mountain crossings are inter-twined with stunning National Parks & some of the best adrenaline fuelled activities & playgrounds in the world. Note: Due to the ongoing situation in Sudan we expect to overfly from Cairo (flight at your cost) and join the truck in Addis Ababa. We would complete the Egypt section using public transport and local hotels and extend our time in northern Kenya and Ethiopia. We ran our 2022/23 Trans Africa expedition in this way and it worked very well.
Note: This is one of our Overland Adventures which are run on a participatory basis – you’ll be involved in the day to day running of the trip and have fun helping to cook for the group. Expect to sometimes get dusty and dishevelled and not to be able to have hot showers every night. Groups of up to 24 people are led by our crew of two.
