This is a great trip if you are interested in seeing wildlife. A large part of the trip is spent on safari, whether it be in the Kruger Park or St Lucia. We were lucky enough to get several leopard sightings, and numerous close encounters with elephants. We saw plenty of hippos, zebra, giraffe and antelope, and large variety of birds. The trip covered a lot of ground, so there were inevitably some long bus journeys, but it was worth it. There was also some stunning mountain scenery too in the Drakensberg and Eswatini. The accommodation was on the whole good, mainly staying in simple eco lodges, which I felt was in keeping with the nature of the trip. It could get cold in the evening, depending on what time of year you are travelling, and the lighting was never good when it got dark. The accommodation at the Kruger, I felt could have been better, particularly at the Phabeni Sleepover, where I thought the barbecue they provided was expensive for what they offered, and the takeaway breakfast not great. Overall, I hugely enjoyed the trip. Good company, good guide. It was tiring with a lot of early morning starts, but worth it. In some places I felt it was a bit rushed – barely 30 minutes at the Talana Museum, and 30 minutes at Rourke’s Drift, so it was difficult to assimilate anything much. I would have been quite happy for the trip to be a day or 2 longer, even though it would be more expensive, so it wouldn’t feel quite so rushed.

Our tour leader was excellent and really made the holiday! The itinerary was jam packed and I felt we got the absolute most out of our time, despite not being very restful!

Our tour leader Lucas was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable about the country and tailored the walks to every member of the group, he also provided us all relevant information on the local area and took us to personaI restaurants he recommended all of which were fantastic. I cannot emphasise enough how enjoyable he made the trip. The walks themselves took place all over Andorra really giving you a feel for the landscape with some absolutely stunning views. The accommodation was clean and comfy and the staff friendly, the safe in the rooms was complicated to try and work however that is my only criticism of the accommodation. The optional rest day provided a great opportunity to do some shopping in the local towns. While the group was large (the full 16 people) it didnt stop a good sense of friendship among the group. The first week of September provided a good mix of warmth while also keeping cool in the mountains. I would book with Explore again!

Wildlife focused, relaxed hiking in the rural Rodopi mountain region with beautiful scenery.

I had a wonderful week in the rural wilderness of Rodopi. This was my first hiking trip and I found the walks to be very enjoyable and manageable. The pace was leisurely with lots of wildlife stops whilst still covering a good distance each day. The trip notes are very accurate, although accommodation is basic, it's clean, comfortable and exactly what is described and had wonderful staff and great home cooked food. The guide Julian was fantastic, very passionate and a great leader and wildlife expert.

Exceptional Safari Experience – Highly Recommend Asante Travel Group!

If you’re planning a visit to Arusha National Park, Tanzania, look no further. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of his way to show us hidden gems most tourists miss. The Tanzania safari lodge Arusha they booked for us was both elegant and comfortable, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Every detail — from the food to the daily excursions — was well thought out. It was the trip of a lifetime!

What an amazing trip! Our guide, Bibi, was incredible at finding the animals, getting us on the best angle to take pictures of them and answer all of our questions. He went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable! The trip has a lot of hours on the car and he made sure to take breaks so that we could all stretch and keep our energy :) Truly an unforgettable experience! Thank you Bibi for making this such an incredible trip for us!
