Loved every minute of this trip. The itinerary was perfect. The opportunities to experience the beauty of this magical state were varied and sites well chosen. Loved seeing the fairy penguins in Burnie. Cradle mountain with the wombats was a highlight. Loved the Gordon River cruise. Accommodation was comfortable and staff were very welcoming. Meals were excellent . So nice to have a good breakfast before setting out. We would certainly travel with AATKings again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Tasmania tour with AAT Kings. Caroline and Sam were a wonderful team, knowledgeable, informative, friendly and helpful in every way. The group of fellow passengers was excellent, a good mix. The tour was comprehensive and diverse. Rugged but beautiful west coast which was wonderful to see, then an extreme contrast on the east coast with magnificent scenery around Freycinet. . We loved Richmond, and Port Arthur….both historic and unique. So much history in Tasmania. One criticism would be the big number of passengers…over 40, in total, which meant a full bus and very limited views when travelling, and some comfort compromised with virtually every seat occupied. Certainly would travel again with AAT Kings and would recommend them to friends.

This trip was amazing - from the accommodation, to the food, to the hotel staff and guides to the huge abundance of wildlife we saw. The Masai Mara lived up to expectations, with the magical wildlife encounters - including watching a leopard drag her recent kill to a tree and seeing a cheetah carrying her tiny cub to an area of safety. Seeing so many lions also made me very happy! Tsavo had less easily seen wildlife, but staying at the wonderful Kipalo Hills more than compensated. What a wonderful place to relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet.

The tour leader was very knowledgable and we learned a great deal about the Baltic states culture and history. The day we spent exploring the Curonian Spit National Park in Lithuania was especially interesting. Witches hill with the wonderful wood carvings was amazing.

I have travelled a lot, and am now less interested than I was in "the sights" of new countries - architecture, mosques, temples, cathedrals etc - but more interested in the culture, politics, landscape and nature. On this trip we had many local guides in all seven countries and thirteen cities that we visited, and through them learned much of the culture: we also received an unprecedented sample of views from all sides in the warfare of the 1990s, following the disintegration of Yugoslavia. The Balkans are often held up as an example of "impossible to understand politics", but I now feel that I have at least absorbed a firm grounding in the basics of their politics, culture and relationships of the past 100 years.

I had travelled with Explore many times in the past, and was always glad to go on another trip. This was my first one since 2017. The tour leader was really outstanding in every respect, being unfailingly cheerful and friendly, competent and energetic. The mostly fairly mature 15 group members were at least as likable, cheerful and co-operative as on any previous trip. The hectic itinerary packed a lot in. More trains next time!
