This is a beautiful look at ALL of italy in a short time. Every destination was breathtaking. Lots of walking throughout the tour so be ready for a good workout and wear comfortable shoes.

Beautiful views, busy and interesting cities and optional side trips, great food and dinners (including sumptuos buffet breakfasts at the upscale hotels) traveling through Norway and Denmark in approx. 14 days (including air travel.) Tour guide and additional local guides are super knowledgeable, the coach driver was safe, efficient and helpful to all. Our group was under 40, which we appreciated. Fun to talk with others and discuss their travel and interests in off time.

Ernesta was amazing. She navigated the entire time perfectly. She was also able to make great shopping and food recommendations. Highly recommend Insight Vacations but especially Ernesta.

The Grand Italy and Sicily itinerary gives you a great taste of each of the major parts of Italy. It enables you to go to harder to reach areas that are spectacular and introduces you to special places to which you might not ordinarily go but make you feel like you have truly experienced the dolce vita of Italy.

The trip was both enjoyable and educational. I learned a lot about both countries. The Salmon Institute and their museum and scientific station in Norway was extremely interesting and unique. They had made a step, system by tunnel through rocks. You could actually get right next to the stairs and see the fish. The also had observational windows where you could see inside a stair area and the fish. The car tunnels in Norway were so advanced (traffic circles, on/off ramps). The scenery along the route and the fjords was beautiful. I have visited family in Denmark before so it wasn’t a totally new experience in Denmark but there were enough different options that I could visit places I hadn’t seen before like St Knut Cathedral in Odense. The palace north of Copenhagen was breath taking. The tour guide provided by insight made the palace experience 200% better. The pace was just right. Not rushed like some other tours I been on with other companies.

The only disapointment was the group meal in Bergen. This may have been outwith Insights control. The Guides were all v good, learnt abd saw so much. The tour Directer Peter was excellent. The tour driver was v good and we enjoyed the company of the other guests. All were on time and considerate of others.
