The tours we saw were unique and were very good. Insight does a great job sharing the culture of the area. The local guides are amazing. Our tour director was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Our bus driver could not have been any better. The bus is new, clean, and roomy. This was a great trip.
The included activities were excellent and then the addons were great also. Our tour guide, Rob, made everyday fun and kept us all on track. The meals were okay, nothing to write home about. Accomodations were great. They gave us a good mix of activities.
Mountain top experiences: Stanzerhorn, Matterhorn, Jungfrau Awesome Castles: Chillon, Bellinzona, & Isola Bella Great show in Lucerne with cheese fondue, Rosti, and goulash. Yodelling, Alpenhorns, music & fun Beautiful places with fabulous hotels Montreux had palm trees!
Spectacular tour of Switzerland with superb tour director Sharon Tooman! Comfortable bus, lovely hotels, fun group dinners, nice selection of optional experiences, and the perfect mix of activities and time on our own at each stop. This was my first Insight tour and won’t be my last. Highly recommend!
Glorious Switzerland was a wonderful tour! We loved the open top cable car that went to the top of Mount Stanserhorn, the Glacier Express from St Moritz to Chur, the fondue dinner in Lucerne (the entertainment was awesome), the stop over the Simplon Pass for complimentary pie and coffee, and the cogwheel train ride in Zermatt to see Matterhorn! We didn’t care for the Lucerne cruise because there was nothing really to see! The Lugano Lake cruise to a grotto for a risotto cooking class was wonderful! We recommend doing an extra day in Geneva to take in the d’Eau and flower clock as well…Our travel director was on top of everything, including slight changes in itinerary due to weather issues. We went in May, which can lead to risky weather patterns! All in all, we definitely recommend this trip!
Tony was excellent guide - dealt well with the "unexpected" items that cropped up (i.e. snow, etc.) and went above and beyond to give us information and demonstrations for our free time.
