Palermo Tours in Winter

The tour was great- very intimate and informative. Excellent was Biagio, the guide driver we had for the whole tour. The food was amazing and I would totally recommend this tour.

Our week in Sicily was the highlight of 2 months in Europe. The places we visited, and stayed, and the food experiences we enjoyed were well planned to make for a varied tour: a mixture of popular tourist sites and low-key personal off the beaten track ventures all designed to keep a group of 6 well-travelled 70s year olds stimulated but not over taxed. Guide Rosario was a wonderfullyorganised yet relaxed companion who who treated us as friends not customers (and driver Giuseppe was great to be with as well. Thoroughly recommended.

With 6 in our group and with our guide Rosario and our driver we did a one week tour of Sicily. It was magic. We saw wonderful sights, were taken into old medieval homes, learned how to make pasta, climbed Mt Etna, saw great cathedrals, learned of the Mafia and ate wonderful food. Our guide and driver were wonderful and we had such fun together. All our needs were attended to and we became good friends. I can heartily recommend this tour.

In general, the tour was well planned and my husband and I enjoyed very much. This tour really injected us with the beauty and the amazing history of Sicily. Lucio is a sweetheart, he really takes care of everyone, and we really love him. But there is always room for improvement, and here are some of the things we observed. In the eagerness of your agency for showing everything, you rush. Perhaps seeing less could be an option tourists will appreciate. The local guides go through their routines too fast, leaving no room for even stopping to take pictures or absorb in the information or the beauty of the places. There was one particular guide by the name Enzo in Palermo at the Palazzo Reale who was cruel and seems to get joy in not allowing tourists to even go to the washroom!!! His history repertoire is too extensive and exhausting!. Sicily is well known for the quality of the food and the pride Sicilians take in serving it. It's a beautiful art! Some hotels like the one in Ragusa did not live up to that. We believe that all meals served should be like the lunch we had at the Osteria dei Sapori Perduti in Modica. It was perhaps the best Sicilian food we had; not to mention the beauty of the restaurant and the warmth of its people. Keep up the good work! This trip made us fall in love with Sicily and gave us the "itch" for going back to visit again. Thank you!

We dug in and knew what we wanted to do . Mr. Gubernati was very helpful in customizing the tour so we could have the experiences we wanted. The driver we had was outstanding as were the guides. For the most part the hotels were very good. We wish we would have been clearer about only wanting hotels with restaurants. After a long day of touring, it was hard on us to look for restaurants. We both have special diet issues and Mr G, the driver and all of the hotels where breakfast was included made it a safe experience for us. Mr' G. was kind enough to add to an Italian write up on diet issues to make it safe for us.
