A well-organised and interesting tour. Our guide Luca and our driver Emidio were professional, attentive and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly vibe. Couldn't fault the accommodation and food. Having some two-night stays made it really relaxing and the traveling days were easy with plenty of rest and sightseeing stops. Sicily os an amazing destination and Backroads made the whole experience memorable. We highly recommend this trip

This is a beautiful look at ALL of italy in a short time. Every destination was breathtaking. Lots of walking throughout the tour so be ready for a good workout and wear comfortable shoes.

The Grand Italy and Sicily itinerary gives you a great taste of each of the major parts of Italy. It enables you to go to harder to reach areas that are spectacular and introduces you to special places to which you might not ordinarily go but make you feel like you have truly experienced the dolce vita of Italy.

We have recently completed this tour and loved it. Luca was fabulous guide. Emilio a safe and thoughtful driver. Our accomodation was generally excellent, stops for lunch at winery, almond farm and buffalo farm were highlights. This was definitely a ‘ back roads ‘ experience and we are grateful to our guide and team behind him for making our holiday memorable. Will definitely be booking Back Toads again.

Our trip was a whirlwind! We saw so much in the 16 days. I was fascinated with the logistics of getting everything in place for the constant activity, special transportation needs, tickets, and local guides.
