We explored three cities in a week.. The transfers from one city to the next went very smoothly. The guided tours of the cities provided plentiful information about the history and culture of the area. The tour guide was always attentive to our needs. The hotels were all of an acceptable standard.

The Explore leader made this holiday a wonderful fun experience. She had great local kniwledge and enthusiasm. Everything ran smoothly from pickup at the airport to the very last day. Looking forward to my next trip.

We arrived in Poland as they were being flooded with heavy rainfall. This meant some minor tweaks to our itinerary however our guide, Justyna, was fabulous and took great care of us. Justyna has a deep knowledge and boundless enthusiasm and love for your country and it's people and you share that with gusto. Krakow is a fabulous city to explore on foot and the mountains have different characters within the Carpathian range. Highlights were the walk/scramble up Kościelec (a neighbouring mountain from the itinerary!) and the view from Trzy Korony (3 Crowns). Great walking, food and drink if you're an omnivore. I don't think Poland is vegan friendly yet however is okay for a veggie if you don't mind eating your body weight in cheese in a week. Polish history is long, complex and not all happy and harmonious however it is well worth a visit to learn and understand more.

Tour of Central Europe

We had a lovely time touring Central Europe. At the beginning, we experienced epic flooding all along the Danube River. It rained for the first 2 days of our trip, but we made do and enjoyed what we could.

A full on trip through Poland, historical and cultural highlights of three cities plus great local cuisine. Hotels of a good standard and well located for independent sight seeing, public transport is very easy. Highlights were the salt mine, Schindler’s Factory museum and the Palace of Culture in Warsaw. Justyna is a great tour leader, enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable.

Fantastic walking throughout the week, I especially enjoyed the lake walk as the scenery was spectacular. All of the hotels were great, but the best thing about the trip was our guide Justyna who with her vast knowledge and clear passion and enthusiasm for the outdoors ensured that we were in good hands! This was one of my favourite walking trips
