Istanbul Tours in September 2027

Fantastic trip. Be prepared to be busy moving from place to place and seeing lots but totally worth it. I have raved about this trip since returning home. Our Tour Guide was just amazing, he was so knowledgeable about everything Turkey (and more). He was very personable and by far the best guide I've ever had on a tour. Well done, Travalgar!

Explore staff in UK were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was largely good; I liked Sobek Stone House a lot and Kekova Hotel in Kas was very pleasant. The hotel in Antalya was modern and impersonal but satisfactory. Most of them were conveniently situated with good facilities. The group leader was enthusiastic and knowledgeable (he was an archeologist; the driver was excellent and helpful. I thought the itinerary was well- thought out as it covered ancient sites, varied and sometimes spectacular scenery, cities and towns. It was certainly a 'full on' trip with some long days. I spent one rest afternoon doing nothing!

We enjoyed our vacation very much. Our guide, Alkan was excellent. He was very attentive to the group and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the commentary on the bus and at the historical sites. Our bus broke down, but he handled the situation with professionalism and ease to quickly get us on our way once again. Both drivers were excellent. The bus was clean and spacious. Most restaurant choices were good, but some were too expensive. The cultural event in Cappadocia felt like an overpriced tourist trap with dinner served too late. It was so loud, it was not enjoyable and the food was average at best. It was a complete waste of money for us. ($90 USD each) Hotels were ok - all clean, but some felt a little tired. Most rest stops exceeded expectations with clean toilets and a good selection of reasonably priced snacks. Wasn't impressed with recommended shopping areas. Appreciated the follow up from Alkan to ensure we got to the airport at the end of the tour, and then the subsequent note to check that everyone got home safely!

An incredibly interesting trip, made all the more amazing by our wonderful leader, Alkan. In order to see as much as possible there was a lot of travelling, but this was well-paced with plenty of interesting breaks. Alkan chose a good variety of eating places which allowed for sampling local cuisine as well as more universal offers. He was was very sensitive to any needs the group had and made sure we knew why he loves his homeland so much.

Absolutely phenomenal trip. The itinerary, views, experiences, tour guide were incredible! Getting to know others on the tour was also so much fun! I had only solo travelled prior to this, so making friends (for the moment and for long-term) was an unexpected gift!

I had an amazing time during my second trip with G Adventures this time. The best thing about travelling with G Adventures is meeting and becoming friends with liked-minded individuals in my age group. My trip to Turkey is full with positive memories because the CEO and everyone in our group was nice and friendly. I will definitely travel with G Adventures again in the near future. Thank you all for making my trip unforgettable!
