Bilbao Tours in Fall

I had a wonderful week walking in the Picos. The itinerary is varied and was adapted to suit the weather conditions. You visit the iconic places with spectacular views. I enjoyed the cheese tastings we did. The hotel In Sotres is a cozy mountain retreat with wood fires, comfortable rooms and Juanjo and his family really take care of you. He was our guide for the week; knowledgeable, kind and great fun. The food was plentiful and very good. We had the added excitement of the village preparing for a Royal visit. This is a stunning place and you will love this trip 😍

Super holiday! You need to be pretty fit to handle all of the hikes as they are long and sometimes difficult terrain. However the scenery is amazing and I really enjoyed the animal life too. The hotel is literally family-run which has a nice feel. The rooms can be chilly until the heating comes on in the evening (my trip was in October). The food is hearty and in great volume. I would have preferred to eat a bit earlier in the evenings. Excellent guide - he was helpful and knowledgeable throughout.

This walking holiday in the Picos de Europa was fantastic. The holiday is based in Sotres which is a beautiful village and the base at the hotel was great. It is very homely and the food and drink is excellent. Juan, our guide was brilliant. Being a local he was so knowledgeable about the history, nature and culture of the area and such a lovely man. His family run the hotel and they were all so friendly too. The walking and scenery was exhilarating and may be at the top end of the grade, but it was different every day and a great sense of achievement on completion. Then back to the hotel for a well earned refresh. There was time after most of the walks to explore the village and/or have a pre dinner drink. The overnight in Potes was also very good. It is a lovely town which we had an evening to explore. and the town is great The group were great, we all got along so well and really jelled. Overall an amazing holiday made special by Juan and the rest of the group. Highly recommended.

Spectacular and varied walks each a delight in its way. Comfortable accommodation , plentiful and tasty food and a quite excellent guide. I can't think of anyway the trip could be improved.

This is a fantastic trip, everyday was joyous. The trip leader/guide was the best. It is very challenging and only for the physically fit. A beautiful place and a wonderful experience.

Small family run hotel, they looked after us do well. Juan and Sonia were excellent hosts and Juan a superb guide. Scenery is stunning, walks good albeit some are challenging for a few, including myself. Did them though and proud of myself. Would highly recommend this trip
