France Holland Tours and Trips

The itinerary is unique in that it covers WWI & WWII battlefield sites & monuments. Many sites are visited each day so while the number seen is large, the time spent at each is short. Travel logistics made it such that some of the optional excursions were not really optional, (the group had not checked in to the hotel & there was nothing else to do if the optional was skipped).

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Country Roads of Belgium, Luxembourg & Netherlands tour. The itinerary was beautifully balanced between famous highlights and smaller hidden gems, and everything felt very well organised. We especially loved the charming towns, local culture and comfortable pace of the tour. Our travel director and driver were excellent and made the whole journey enjoyable and stress-free. It truly felt like a premium travel experience from start to finish. We came home with fantastic memories and would gladly travel with Insight Vacations again.

Fun group to ride and travel with. Great staff and great food. Weather could have been warmer but who can control that. And headwinds were tough. Maybe do Bruges to Amsterdam for more tailwind??

It was such a lovely and relaxed trip! We did two hotel upgrades which was a special treat while we were in Haarlem and Gouda. The phone GPS was easy to use and the bikes and panniers were sufficient. With the exception of one bag delay on our first night, our luggage always arrived in early afternoon. We had such a lovely time and I think the bike routes were a beautiful representation of the Netherlands' dedication to preserving history and nature while also embracing technology in sustainable ways.

The whole tour was wonderful. JP, our tour guide was excellent from start to finish. The variety of activities was great. My favorite was Mont-Saint-Michel and I didn’t even climb to the top. I loved staying in the chateau I felt like royalty even though the dinner there was disappointing. I would skip the Paris city bus tour on the last day. Just pointing out building after building was a let down I would rather have explored a museum. Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed France. Collette is a great tour company Your attention to details is wonderful. We have already signed up for another Collette tour. Thanks.

A thoroughly enjoyable week's cycling in Provence. Erwin, our leader, was very experienced and knew the area well. Our first hotel was conveniently situatied in Avignon and served excellent breakfasts. Our second hotel was situated in wonderful grounds, had a lovely swimming pool and the breakfasts were superb. The wine tasting and picnic was particular highlight. Highly recommended.
