North America Snorkeling Trips

My husband and I have now done several tours with Exodus and there are many reasons why we keep returning to Exodus, not the least of which include: the staff are helpful and available from beginning to end; the group size is small which makes the logistics more manageable; they put together itineraries in various locations that maximize the most interesting places to see and things to do; their trip notes accurately reflect what to expect and how to prepare for your trip; their guides have incredible knowledge about the various areas;  and they listen and respond to reviews. Although some days seemed longer than others, "Belize Reef and Ruins" is one of the most interesting tours I have ever done, and the only tour I have ever done twice (in one year).  There was no shortage of opportunity to further my learning about the history of the Mayan civilization, the flora and fauna of Belize, and the present-day life of the Belizean people.  Wherever we went, we were greeted with "Belizean warmth and kindness".  As I shared with a few of my friends, in spite of the heat, the unrelenting humidity, and the mosquitoes, I wish there were two of me - one to stay in Belize and one to return home.

I had a really great time, visiting Cuba was an amazing experience. Especially for an introductory first-visit, I thought the itinerary and so on was really good. Yoli was a SUPERB guide! Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, flexible, outstanding English -- everything you could want in a guide! A great way to learn more about Cuba!

Snorkeling near Playa Larga and Salsa class both really great fun. That cocktail in the wellness Viñales restaurant was pure joy. The Museo at Playa Giron and Che Guevara Memorial both really interesting and motivates me to learn more about the heroes of Cuba. The dawn hike and guide in Viñales was awesome and both Viñales and Trinidad, with live music, were really enjoyable. The whole trip was so great!!

I think Cuba as a whole is obviously going through a rough patch. I think it would’ve been good to have a clearer heads up on the conditions ie. The blackouts and how frequent they are, instead of saying there’s ’limited’ cash I think we should be told there’s literally no opportunity to get more cash. We felt like the whole trip we were needing to watch our money because once we ran out there was no getting more. I think the trip notes sort of tip toe around the reality of what is happening in Cuba. I think considering the conditions Nelson really tried his best to make the trip memorable, he is very passionate about his country and that really shows in how he guides his groups.

Travelling around Cuba with G Adventures was a fantastic experience. I learnt a lot about the culture, history, and natural landscape of the country - from a very knowledgeable CEO. A group trip is definitely the best way to experience everything Cuba has to offer.

Information provided regarding currency and atm/bank availability was out of date to the detriment of multiple people on our tour. Instructions were that ATM availability was spotty, and that any of a set of currencies would be exchangeable to local currency. In reality, ATMs were completely unavailable and only USD/EUR were acceptable in most places. I wish gadventures had provided more up to date information before the trip so we could be better prepared.
