London 11-Day Tours and Trips

The tour gave a balanced range of highlights from little villages, towns and cities to a couple of stately homes and churches, an amazing art museum and a visit to Wensleydale Cheese Factory. It was very well organised and our fabulous guide Charlie and driver Renata made the trip very special and memorable. Great accommodation and good food enhanced the total experience. It was a tour to remember and one which I can thoroughly recommend.

It was the best experience l have had, Ben was full of knowledge & was an amazing guide, Dimitri interest on our entertainment, he was a fantastic driver. I felt sorry for him at the Churchill hotel, the backing camera was not working. Every place we went , will be beautiful memories. I have told everyone about my experience with Back Roads. It is important to know that this experience is fast paced and sometimes it's a few hours in a country and then off on the bus to travel to the next destination. There is a fair amount of bus travel. This is a taster to what is out there. You will be able to say you have been to all these amazing places and have a goal to spend more time there next time. There are extra costs along the way to pay for optional experiences. It's good to be aware of all of this in advance so that you can have the best holiday possible and be prepared. The tour guides are fantastic and go above and beyond to give you a memorable holiday experience. In my opinion, take a few days before the tour to prepare, and a few days after to rest and do a it more travelling. Finally, be prepared to make some life long friends with those on tour as you will be spending hours and days together. Embrace every opportunity to experience something different, enjoy the differences, soak it all up; languages, cultures, food, music, currency.....you will never be the same, you will be enriched!

10/10 would recommend traveling with Contiki! I made the best friends and saw the most amazing places. I never had to stress about planning thanks to the amazing staff. Our tour guide, was the best. She made sure that we had the best time and worked so hard behind the scenes. Our driver, made us feel so safe on the road and we couldn’t have gone anywhere without him.

It was my first time in Europe and the 3 countries that I visited with my family was awesome! Italy, Switzerland and France were Bar None! The Countryside, historical buildings, monuments, the people, the culture was amazing. What a joyful experience! Such a highlight for year 2025 and we as a family plan to do it again next year in 2026!

When one gets confirmations of hotels only a few hours before travel, one cannot check out hotel amenities independently, so one should be told to carry shampoo, tea bags etc. The compulsory dinners at Invernes were bad, should not be included. The Spanish guide was talking too much, others may want a little silence?
