London 10-Day Tours and Trips

Beautiful Scenery. We saw fields of different hues of green outlined with hedges. Hadrian's wall was brought to life by our tour director. You could imagine a soldier's life as he patrolled the wall. pointed out that much of the wall was not standing anymore, but it wasn't really gone, it had been used to build barns, houses and fences that are still in Scotland today! This is a fast paced trip but it covers such a diversity of sights in the UK. From busy London to the quite and awe inspiring mountains of the highlands. I would do this trip again, but bring a lot less baggage!

The tour gave a balanced range of highlights from little villages, towns and cities to a couple of stately homes and churches, an amazing art museum and a visit to Wensleydale Cheese Factory. It was very well organised and our fabulous guide Charlie and driver Renata made the trip very special and memorable. Great accommodation and good food enhanced the total experience. It was a tour to remember and one which I can thoroughly recommend.

We saw so many things and places we wouldn't have known we wanted to see, had we not booked this tour. It was busy- we expected that, but we loved every minute.

It was the best experience l have had, Ben was full of knowledge & was an amazing guide, Dimitri interest on our entertainment, he was a fantastic driver. I felt sorry for him at the Churchill hotel, the backing camera was not working. Every place we went , will be beautiful memories. I have told everyone about my experience with Back Roads. It was my first time in Europe and the 3 countries that I visited with my family was awesome! Italy, Switzerland and France were Bar None! The Countryside, historical buildings, monuments, the people, the culture was amazing. What a joyful experience! Such a highlight for year 2025 and we as a family plan to do it again next year in 2026!

A trip seems to hinge on its success with a great informative and engaging tour director and , an agreeable coach load of explorers . My trip to the UK and Wales aced on both these personal measures. The unpredictable UK weather cooperated fully adding to the perfect drives , interesting highlights , and venue walks . , our quiet mannerly was a complete delight with his wit and easy yet firm ways to keep the gang engaged and brilliantly on time for departures and regrouping . Kudos . You wanted to comply willingly because of his ability to humbly impress us all with his knowledge and gentlemanly manner . He was born to be a ‘leader ‘. My perfect lengthed and quick paced tour was crowned with the clean , well located accommodations and pleasing breakfasts every day as then we began and finished our days with a smile . Walking out of the Park Plaza Riverbank hotel and strolling across the pretty little street to lean on the wall and gaze at the historic Thames was a personal thrill . To think of what civilizations and trade vessels over the centuries had cruised down that simple river was impactful . Loved it right there outside the door . Thank you again to .
