Cyprus Tours in Summer

Enjoyed the trip and company of Cemaliye and the rest of the group very much. Should have mentioned our full Christmas dinner provided by the hotel on Christmas Day. It was excellent and a lovely surprise.

North Cyprus is an overlooked destination. The history, castles and scenery are amazing. The walks are of reasonable difficulty due to the terrain, and for May the heat made it worse, but a fabulous holiday nonetheless.

Trip notes “Walking through areas teeming with wildflowers and wildlife” . I saw very few wildflowers and hardly any wildlife. “Leisurely/Moderate”. I suppose I took leisurely to mean easy rather than slow because of the rough terrain.

The itinerary needs to be more varied. It included walks to 3 mountaintop castles ruins and mostly in similar landscapes, but omitted Nicosia, Salamis and Famagusta. While the latter was an optional day trip on the free day, if Salamis and Famagusta were included in one of the walking days, then the free day could have included transport to and from Nicosia. There would then have been the opportunity to see the green zone; possibly use the pedestrian border crossing to go to the Cyprus side and learn more about what makes the Island of Cyprus so unique.

I want to say thank you for my News Eve Dinner that you provided. We had an excellent evening mixing with the locals and eating a hug amount of food.
