In the morning, we will cruise along the romantic Perfume River before heading out for the countryside. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda, remote craft villages making conical hat and incense, and the royal tombs of King Khai Dinh and King Tu Duc.
Our first stop will be Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady. This historic site, with its seven-story tower, is a symbol of Hue.
Next, we will visit the Tu Duc Tomb, one of the most elaborate royal tombs of the Nguyen emperors. Nestled in a lush landscape, this site features beautiful gardens, lakes, and traditional Vietnamese architecture, reflecting the emperor's love for poetry and nature.
After lunch, visit Forbidden City to discover the legacy of the Nguyen royal dynasty and explore the bustling Dong Ba market.
The Imperial City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the political and cultural heart of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. Within its fortified walls lies the Forbidden Purple City, a private complex reserved for the emperor, his family, and select court members. Spend your morning to discover the stately Hanoi. Begin your day with an insight into the life of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam's most respected revolutionary leader. Visit his mausoleum, house on stilt, the Presidential Palace and the historic One Pillar Pagoda. Then set foot to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university originally built as a temple to Confucius.
After lunch, we will visit the Museum of Ethnology, one of Vietnam's top museum. Then jump on the iconic cyclo the Old Quarter.
Later enjoy the unique Water Puppet show.
This captivating performance takes place on a water stage, where puppeteers, standing in waist-deep water behind a bamboo screen, manipulate beautifully crafted wooden puppets. The puppets are designed to float and move gracefully across the water, creating an enchanting visual experience.

Note: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is open from Tuesday to Thursday and weekends from 8am to 11pm. Closed on Mondays and Fridays. The mausoleum is closed for two months of the year, usually October and November, when Ho Chi Minh’s body is undergoing maintenance by an Russian expert.

day 13 - Hanoi - Hoa Lu & Tam Coc (b/l)
Today from Hanoi we will visit the Ancient Capital of Hoa Lu, Dinh and Le Sanctuaries and visit Tam Coc's three caves by sampan.
Visiting Tam Cốc (“three caves”) is a 3 hour excursion by small boat along the Ngo Dong River. The landscape is beautiful rice fields and karst towers. We float through three natural caves (Hang Cả, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba). The largest cave is 125m long with a ceiling about 2m high above the water which was lovely to float through. It is fascinating to watch how the women handle the row boats with their feet with such dexterity.

day 14 - Hanoi - Sapa (b)
Enjoy the morning and afternoon at your leisure.
In the late afternoon, our guide will meet you and transfer you to the railway station, where you will board the overnight train to Sapa. Coco Riverside Lodge was excellent we would have loved to have stayed longer in this beautiful place and enjoyed the great hospitality.
Service was extremely good. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable and the driver was very good and safe. Every place we visited we were taken care of very well. Hope to return again in the future.
