Icefields Parkway: Journey one of the world’s most scenic mountain roads, where each curve reveals glacier-fed lakes, ancient icefields and soaring peaks. Witness the Columbia Icefield, a rare hydrological apex feeding three oceans, and travel through landscapes sculpted by time and ice.
Maligne Lake: Relax on board a narrated cruise on the serene waters of Maligne Lake. Glide past jagged mountain peaks to Spirit Island, a world-famous destination accessible only by boat.
Maligne Canyon: Join your Travel Director as you walk on the trails of Maligne Canyon, one of the most stunning gorges in the Canadian Rockies and the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park.
Athabasca Glacier: With the opportunity to get up close to nature's breathtaking power, Athabasca Falls is an experience not to be missed. Here, the Athabasca River crashes through a narrow gorge with immense force, its thundering waters and dramatic drop offering incredible photo opportunities to capture the raw beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
Banff: Visit Yoho National Park to see the Lower Spiral Tunnels—an early 20th-century engineering solution to a dangerously steep railway grade. Then view Takakkaw Falls, plunging 373 m (1,224 ft) in one of Canada’s highest cascades. The name, from Cree, means “it is magnificent”—an apt description for this thundering spectacle set amid glacier-fed peaks.

This was a very enjoyable, scenic trip. The views are spectacular! Enjoyed all the dinners and lunches we received. The motor coach bus transportation everyday was very enjoyable. The only problem was the early morning departure schedules was a little nerve racking getting everything packed to move onto the next hotel accommodations. The hotels we stayed at were very comfortable and accommodating. I really have to say Canada has very friendly and helpful people. The views are out of this world! So glad I got to visit this beautiful country! Last but not least, our tour guide *personal info removed by Feefo* and bus driver*personal info removed by Feefo* were terrific. They both were so helpful and pleasantly friendly, funny and accommodating to our needs. Would definitely recommend Insight Tours to friends and family! Keep up the good work!!!
We were able to see the beauty of the Canadian Rockies along with the historic aspects of this area. The pace of the tour was comfortable and learning about the indigenous peoples from actual persons of the First Nation. The river rafting was SO much fun and being able to walk on a glacier is a once in a lifetime experience. Also, on this particular tour, we were fortunate enough to view so many different kinds of wildlife safely from the coach.
was an amazing tour director. The views of the lakes and glaciers were beautiful. There was a good balance of scheduled activity and free time. We really liked the ability to visit and walk on a glacier.
Insight planning was spot on! We had a great tour director and bus driver that took us to beautiful places safely. Our tour director was very knowledgeable and friendly. Loved the tour.
Great overview of the area
It was perfect. My husband and I had a wonderful trip
Beautiful; well paced
Nonstop beautiful sights as you travel through the Canadian Rockies. While traveling between incredible destinations on the trip, you will stop at just as breathtaking sights along the roadway. Travel in style in a luxury coach while gaining fast access to must-see vistas.
Great mix of expected attractions and unexpected that TD knew about and took us to.
More information about fire damage around Jasper. Hotel accommodations were changed because of it and caused an extra hour of travel time to reach the substituted hotel.
It is fun filled with spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies.
This tour was marketed and sold as a luxury experience, but the reality fell far short. Whilst, the early accommodation was good, it spiralled dramatically at the end. The tour group was relocated to Hinton not Jasper as per the original itinerary. This added an additional 4 hours of unnecessary travel each day that we were there. The Hinton hotel provided a basic self service breakfast with plastic cutlery and cardboard plates - more like a kid's camp, rather than a premium experience. The rooms were not cleaned properly. Thankfully, our Tour Director and Driver were outstanding throughout the trip. This tour was not the premium trip that we paid for.
Well planned and a lot of activities in the limited amount of days.
The scenery was amazing and easily accessible. It was usually a short travel distance to access the destinations and the optional extra activities added to the experience.
So enjoyed this tour and our guide, was exceptional! Canadian Rockies is a beautiful part of the world to visit!
The itinerary was well planned to take advantage of the proximity of each destination to minimize any overlapping or backtracking. I also greatly appreciated and enjoyed being able to stay multiple nights in one hotel so there wasn’t packing and unpacking every day. Even if the weather wasn’t always ideal the destinations were worth every minute of our stops.
The two main reasons my wife & I chose this tour were the mountain lodges & multiple nights at two of them, specifically 3 nights at the Banff Springs Fairmont & 2 nights at the Forest Park Lodge. The Canadian Rockies presented one spectacular view after another. It was breathtaking!
We enjoyed staying multiple nights at two of the hotels which allowed us to not feel rushed hopping from one hotel to the next. Banff Springs Hotel is a treat in and of itself. Spectacular views everywhere we went! Informative and interesting Insight experiences. And most importantly, our tour guide Alex and our bus driver, Lana were exceptional. We highly recommend this tour.
Thanks to our exceptional tour director, we were able to make unplanned stops based on weather which allowed time to see places without being drenched from the rain. The only downside was the hotel near Jasper was one hour away which added to the the travel time which made for a very long day. I was not feeling well while in Jasper and due to the hotel being so far away I was unable to make the 2 excursions that day. If the hotel had of been in town, I could have slept in and made the afternoon cruise.
Dry well done. Alex was informative, approachable and professional. My favorite was Banff for three nights. Great trip!
it was a trip taken with my young adult granddaughters that we all will remember for ever. Coming from Michigan the mountains and ice fields were places unlike anything we knew. I liked the history from the indigenous guide of the natural plants. The natural beauty allows you to forget your everyday life. the tour guide and driver were wonderful, professional and seemed truly interested in us having a wonderful time. My only complaint is the price high price of the food for a couple of stops. Basically priced like a sit down dinner for a premade sandwich. Only bright spot there was Alex our tour guide bought ice cream for everybody
Great scenery, amazing views, well organized trip. Stay at Fairmont Hotel in Banff was amazing. Walking on the glacier was unique and tour guide Alex and driver Lana were excellent. Only negative was a switch of hotels to staying in Hinton instead of Jasper. Put you 45 minutes north of most sightseeing destinations and without good restaurant options. They claim it was because of the wildfires in Jasper in 2024, but I am not sure there were not better options closer to Jasper or in Jasper itself.
My only request would be that the dinner at the Glacier View Lodge be earlier. Dinner didn't start until 7:45 and wasn't done until at least 10 pm. Then breakfast was at 7. That made for a very late night and early morning. We were told to be at breakfast at 7:00, but breakfast wasn't served until after 7:30. We could have arrived later.
When you change hotels let someone know
Itinerary was very well thought out. Beautiful scenery. was an excellent tour guide.
Trip of a lifetime - walking on glaciers and rafting rivers? -Columbia ice fields so gorgeous. -Banff beautiful if too crowded
Should have had more time at our last stop.
The scenery was spectacular.
Love this company. Guide and driver were fantastic. Views were fantastic. Hotels were fantastic. The problem is that it is very difficult to get to Banff from the East Coast of the United States so you miss the transfers that Insights provides and have to pay an exorbitant amount of money to get to Banff on your own. The hotels are amazing but you can’t check in until 4 PM and then dinner is at 6 PM so you get no time to explore the hotels or use any of the amenities there to include the spas unless you plan way in advance. Even then, your hotels are subject to change. The final hotel on this trip is gorgeous but it’s in the middle of nowhere and again you have absolutely no time to explore the hotel or enjoy the amenities. I would recommend you just do this trip on your own if you are younger. If you are over the age of 70, this trip is probably perfect for you.
It was perfect as planned. A good variety of scenic wonders and activities.
Everyday we were surrounded by beautiful mountains, trees and the bluest of blue lakes. We had fun on a boat float down a river, a gondola ride up a mountain and some leisurely shopping in Banff and Jasper. There was enough guided time and free time. It’s a very enjoyable trip.
This was the 4th insight trip and without a doubt it was the best
