Billings: Learn all about Billing's railroad history during a Be My Guest dinner at the historic Billings Depot. The facility was built in 1903 to serve as a hub for 3 major railroads passing through town and is now a non-profit organization. A historian from the nearby Western Heritage Center will serve as host for the evening enlightening the group on the rail industry's importance to Big Sky Montana! Local Chef Stephen Hindman has put together a wonderful 3-course menu complete with beer and wine.
Palisade: Unlock the local secrets of the land over a meet-and-greet at Field to Fork, an organic fruit and vegetable farm that cultivates 10 acres for vegetable production in addition to a fruit orchard of rare heritage stone and pomme fruit. Welcomed by owners Jessica and Scott, you’ll learn about the farm, its history and Jessica and Scott’s passion and expertise for organic farming. Then, take a walking tour of the farm discovering horticulture and how they grow organic fruits and vegetables, including a greenhouse and barn tour. Cap off your experience with a meal of crudité, salad, pizza topped with local ingredients and dessert featuring local seasonal fruit.
Grand Canyon National Park: The great outdoors is your classroom today when you meet geologist Canyon Tim for an enlightening talk about the Grand Canyon at the South Rim . Having over 30 years of geological experience, Tim’s fascinating talk reveals how this natural marvel was formed millions of years ago and how the different layers that make up the Colorado Plateau are still visible today.
Zion National Park: Unlock geological history as you walk the paths and trails of Zion National Park, following in the footsteps of Native Americans and the earliest pioneers. The lush vegetation, wild rivers, roaring waterfalls and towering cliffs of this park will have you reaching for your camera over and over again. You’ll even drive through the amazing 1.1-mile, sandstone Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel built from the late 1920s through 1930, when it was the longest tunnel of its type at the time.
Bryce Canyon National Park: After stopping at Sunset Point this afternoon, Bryce Canyon awaits. You’re right in the heart of it all with your accommodations just three miles from the park entrance, maximising the time you'll spend in the park.
Epic landscapes await on the 'Scenic Parks Explorer' tour, a 15-day national parks adventure beginning and ending in Las Vegas. Traverse the wonders of Yellowstone, Denver, and the Grand Canyon, with highlights including Zion’s cliffs and Monument Valley’s mesas. Designed for travelers seeking moderate activity and authentic encounters, this tour package offers overnight stays in Yellowstone and stories from Native American guides. The unique selling point is the breadth of iconic parks covered, ensuring you experience the very best of America’s wild west. If you crave an in-depth exploration of nature’s masterpieces, this trip belongs on your list.
This is a great tour to let you sample what all these parks have to offer. It provides great moments to experience the parks but sometimes not maybe long enough but that’s the downside to seeing so many parks in such a short time.
Tour was comprehensive and well planned with excellent tour director and driver. There was enough time to enjoy each of the pertinent parts of the national parks visited although some well known locations in certain national parks such as Zion could be hiked if given more time. There were some hiccups that happened during the tour but were professionally resolved and we managed to complete the tour without skipping any inclusions in the itinerary.
Very likely First time on a bus trip I went in an open mind and was not disappointed.Had a great guide (Mary) very knowledgeable and personal. Looking to go another’s in the future
The itinerary packs a lot into 15 days with early starts most mornings. The parks we visited were all different and well worth seeing.
Great itinerary if you want to see all the major parks. Be prepared to get up early and cover a lot of ground each day.
Shorter comfort stops Extend the amount of time in the parks Never book the The Horseshoe it was dirty Tour guide and driver were 10+ Great trip
This tour gave my wife and I a fantastic look at 12 wonderful National Parks. We loved the hotels and tour director Kelly. We loved Kelly’s insight into each park and stops on the tour.
Long trip but was worth it. We are in our 70’s and this was going to be a “one and done” opportunity for us to see the Parks so we signed on for the entire loop. Glad we did. It was spectacular. Our tour guide and driver ( J. P. And Archie ) were terrific. They worked hard and were the consummate professionals. We will take a look at Trafalgar first before we take our next trip in a couple years.
The itinerary was very good and well organized
You see a lot, but more time needs to be spent at the parks and less at gift shops and lunch on your own. Our national parks are amazing to see. The few extra side trips were also good.
Covers a lot of miles. Many hours are spent in the bus. Dining options are not always excellent. Accomodations are sometimes less than 5 star (no television or air conditioning). Vegas hotel very dirty ( should replace that hotel with another).
It was a fantastic trip!!
I recently returned from your tour of the scenic national parks, and while the itinerary itself was wonderful, I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the experience, particularly regarding the guiding. Our tour guide, though friendly, provided a little to no information about the history, geography, or cultural significance of the places we visited. Instead, much of our time on the bus was filled with movies or games. All these activities may have been meant to keep us entertained, they were no substitute for the insightful commentary and context I expected from professional guide. Additionally, the guide frequently changed meeting times which caused confusion and cut into our sightseeing. it became clear that he was unfamiliar with the area, which I do not blame on him personally, but rather on your company for assigning him to lead such a complex and expensive tour without adequate preparation. This was a considerable financial investment for me, and I had high expectations that the knowledge and professionalism of the guide would enrich the experience. unfortunately, that did not happen. We have gone on two other tours, a full European tour and a Scotland tour through Globus and they were excellent guides both times. The guides were informative and completely knowledgeable of the areas. I I hope you take this feedback seriously, and ensure the future tours are staff with guides who are properly trained and knowledgeable about the Regency lead. Guests choose your company, not only for the destinations, but for the value added by expert guidanceI look. I look forward to your response thank you for your attention to this matter.
Armando and Josh did a wonderful job on this tour. We had many wonderful stops and the people I sent pictures could not believe everything we saw. Our group was a special blend of Australians, Canadians, Chinese, and Americans. Many people gave short talks at the end of the tour. They thanked every one for the kindness shown to every person on the bus. According to one of the veteran travelers, the sincerity we had for each other brought out the best in all of us.
The trip was wonderful but tiresome. The constant packing and repacking of luggage was somewhat tiring. However if one wants to see as much as we did, it is impossible to change it. There could be more dinners or luncheons included because for many of those, we were on our own. If not familiar with the area, this was difficult. We spent a lot of our time looking for places and then having to get back to the bus on time.
active, cared for, full of knowledge, historic, unforgettable. bus immaculate everyday. driver ron a d mary m tour director. were incredible
A very well organised tour with an outstanding tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of what we were seeing, wonderful scenery, as well as good accommodation, meals and activities
Excellent accommodation and wonderful sights.
Covered so much territory and some of the best views in our country! Our coach driver knew the best routes and scenic drives. Our tour guide was very helpful, fun and very knowledgeable.
Everything was excellent. Where there were long travel stretches entertained us with games, movies and surprise stops.
We loved the itinerary and would do the tour again. Yes, there are some days when there is more driving than “looking “ but you have to be aware of where the parks are and the distance between each. The beds at the hotels are “ok” and the breakfast at most are in an acceptable category. A few had pretty good food.our driver and tour guide worked well together and both had a great rapport with the people in the group.
Its exhausting but amazing!
Compromise between restrictions on where a bus can go but the bus did go to all the scenic spots. Also got to know what we were looking at plus we covered a lot of places and miles. Well worth it.
A great journey to see the countryside and meet the people. Our Travel Director was fantastic, full of knowledge of the area and made the journey so much more enjoyable.
Trafalgar has an awesome itinerary here, but in order to see and do all that we did, the schedule is not for the faint of heart, or anyone looking to have a “rest and relax” kind of vacation. It entails very early mornings, typically 5:45 a.m. every day, in order to have suitcases out the door by 6:30 or 6:45 for loading onto the bus, and a lot of getting on and off the bus for the frequent enough “comfort” stops necessary along with the sightseeing stops. It can be exhausting, especially if there are evening activities that entail late evening arrivals back at the lodging, so my advice is to go into such an adventure knowing that although there is ample “down time” on the bus to rest up in between stops, it takes a fair amount of energy and stamina to keep up with the pace of the activities. Also, because there is a lot crammed into each day, often the stops along the way are hurried a bit more than desired, and one is on a strict time table to adhere to the schedule and not cause any delays. Fortunately, our group was incredibly responsible and considerate of one another, and we never had any issues, but we were on a kind of military time in order to get everything in. Kudos to our Travel Director, though, for keeping us all well informed and reminded often of our time deadlines and for watching out for us so that we didn’t miss any of the sights we were to see or any of the very fun and enjoyable “surprises” he and our wonderful driver, had in store for us almost every day. They were some of the highlights of our trip and well worth looking forward to!!! All in all, it was a fabulous trip, and I would highly recommend it but only with the knowledge going into it that it requires some serious stamina and a sense of willingness to be adventurous, even despite the repeated very, very early mornings day after day which is the effort that this trip requires.
Our tour guide was fantastic ( and Driver ) and would recommend this trip to everyone
It is a very rigorous trip, but the best way to see so much of the country in such a short time.
was a fantastic guide during our trip. She added so much to the experience.
The itinerary overall was good. However too much time was spent in the Canyonlands and insufficient time in the Grand Canyon.
Excellent choice.
You get up early and it really pays off! So much is put into this itinerary. We saw and experienced the most amazing, beautiful sites our country has to offer. Thank you and !!
and are an excellent team devoted to your company.
Scenic Parks Explorer is an amazing tour. So much wildlife and so many beautiful landscapes to discover. Very full on and busy experience but it really has to be to fit in so many amazing sights. Our tour guide was just the best. Always positive and keen to make things happen if at all possible.
Excellent trip. All the National Parks are fantastic. Only issue was the altitude of the parks
Could not use the bathroom on the bus
was the best tour director we have ever had, and this is trip # 6 !
The team ( travel director) and ( ) driver really knew their stuff and found us great spots for viewing the natural spendor and did a great job of animal sightings along the way. The trip itinerary was fantastic. The mix of information shared, locations visited, etc was more than I expected. Best trip ever!
It was reasonable and worth every penny. The amount of time spent at each stop was just enough. The scenery was beautiful and magnificent .
A great trip with a great guide and driver made a great vacation
A great trip. Over and above what I expected. and our tour guide and bus driver were exceptional. I give them both 10 stars.
The itinerary was absolutely amazing, and gave us the opportunity to see so much in our travels! Our tour director, along w/ driver , did everything to make our trip the most awesome & best vacation ever!!
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is not the trip for you! 8 National parks in 2 weeks! The tour was fast paced and covered a lot! Each National Park was beautiful and all were so different. Our tour guide was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Our driver was excellent. We started each day around 8 am and were at the hotel by around 4. There were some days that had long bus rides but we stopped every 2 hours for restroom breaks and snacks. The destinations were worth it! All the hotels were clean and comfortable. Very happy we took this trip!
The itinerary is packed full of stops including all of the major parks as well as other interesting short stops. The tour covered over 3200 miles across 8 states. The bus was mostly comfortable including outlets for charging devices. Our Tour Guide was very informative and kept us entertained along the way.
Fantastic itinerary led by an awesome tour director, JP Smith, and a great driver Mark Tapper! JP's ability to share the history of the area and his explaination of geology/geography served up in a humorous story telling manner made JP's infomation as exciting as the actual points of interest. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is lacking familiarity with the National Parks system. This is a once in a lifetime experience!
It is awesome. You get to see things you wouldn't normally see. The travel guide is very knowledgeable about the parks and the history.
Perfect Tour Great tour guide , fantastic, knowledgeable, kind, passionate tour leader. Great driver, feel safe during riding at the coach , Mr was a great experience driver. Amazing trip for entire 15 days.
The variety of parks and range of activities
