Great tour package for us. Very reasonably priced. A phone call with customer service helped clarify scheduling coordination concerns. Booking was a straight forward and an uncomplicated process. We are excited about our planned adventure. Our only problem was in inputting the discount code correctly to achieve the advertised discount. Just didn’t happen.

It was not what we expected after our past 12 trips with Insight. The food was not as good as in the past. Meals were in a separate room to limit what was available. We got a very quick look from a distance at the Statue of Liberty when they had a free ferry available to anyone. We could have done that. It was too far to even get a decent photo of it. Our tour director Deana tried everything to make our experience great and she was very helpful but it is difficult when our generation are not overly tech savvy. The seating in the bus was backbreaking and not adjustable. We were lucky that it was a small tour because some people could try sitting in two seats instead of one to try to get comfortable. My husband made a big cushion up from our clothing to make it more comfortable. The technology in the bus didn’t work at all until a replacement bus was provided in Boston. When shown something and then back on the coach and told we could come back in free time was difficult due to time constraints but also because you can lose your way. Cooking demonstrations are not a substitute either for seeing more of the places we visited. Tour director and driver were very helpful. I think that after always loving your tours we found this one quite disappointing.

No time spent on iconic sites EG did not see Empire State Bldg Did not see memorial for 9/11. Did not see Statue of Liberty
Also too much time spent at food halls. A few of us stated we don't want to wander aimlessly around food halls trying to find something half decent to eat
Also not interested in tasting oil or vinegar and learning the conception of that that particular food hall - all wasted time that could've been spent touring iconic sites
It's a big effort to travel there. Chances are won't go back to see the above
