Nice pace and great hotels
You get to see a lot of cities in 10 days but I there isn’t a lot of time in Norway.
Very busy
This tour was conducted by true professionals from tour directors to bus driver and all tour guides in every city. This was achieved by many years of experience from this company. This was my first time traveling with a guided tour and I am sure I will be using them in my future trips.
Great overview of Scandinavia. Optional experiences were well worth the time and expense. Tour director (Dino) was fabulous as was our driver (Kamil). Local hosts added much to the experience with their knowledge and insight.
A great tour of an amazing part of our world.
The countries are beautiful different but it is a little boring there is not much to do. For me is just a one time visit
Perfect amount of time in each capital! The cities were walkable, weather was great and we visited great places! We did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy the stops! It was so nice to be on the ferries! The extra excursion to Estonia was fabulous!
it was very organized and we enjoyed them all
Both the included and optional excursions did not totally meet my expectations. Helsinki included tour was good and the guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Feel like we didn't get a good grasp of this city. Thank goodness we did arrive a day early and got to explore on our own. The Estonia optional excursion was great except for the tour guide. She was very boring, talked too much and walked too fast. We did enjoy Tallin on our own and appreciated the InSight cruise to Tallin and the cruise back with the dinner buffet. The Fika optional excursion in Sweden was so boring and bad. The town was not that great, not inviting and the Fika pastry and tea were so below par - dry taste, tight seating and faulty restrooms. So sorry we wasted our time and money. The Vasa museum was okay nothing exceptional - walk in look at the boat and watch the video. The included ABBA tour was fabulous and one of our favorite tours on this trip. Oslo was a whirlwind. The included tour of Frogner Park and the guide were good. Thank goodness we did not do the optional tour of the FRAM and ski jump tour and we took a wonderful boat ride we organized ourselves. Favorite tour we took on this trip. Copenhagen was also a whirlwind. Tivoli Gardens was nice and understand it's a local favorite. Not our favorite kind of place, but appreciate InSight taking us there. The included city tour was okay. The guide talked way too much about the royal family and quite frankly it was not that interesting. Why not tour us to the city center and the pretty colored houses? Nyhavn? We did not take the optional tour to North Zealand and we were happy to walk around Copenhagen on our own.
The timing was flawless, even negotiating traffic jams.
It was good. The tour director was excellent. He made sure that my dietary requirements were met. He even bought me gluten and dairy free sweets, when everyone else had chocolate samples. An extra day in Oslo would have been better. I felt that I didn't get a very good chance to look around the city.
Some of the optionals should have just been included as part of the itinerary for the price paid. Included meal options were not great. Hotels were adequate. The cruise ship cabin was tiny with an airplane like bathroom. The drive days could have been broken up by more sightseeing. This tour does not include viewing any fjords. A fjord sightseeing cruise should have been added to the agenda for Oslo. Solo travelers should be granted their own seat row on the bus.
Good that it only covered cover for countries. Would have liked the local experts to give us a little less history and a little more current events about their countries.
I think that we saw amazing things and learnt a lot BUT I think that the tour tried to fit too much into the schedule and consequently there were too many very early starts. It became quite pressured.
it is very different from other parts of Europe. It is about a people who came to terms with eachother after centuries of warring and now live peacefully with eachother. through this tour I learned about the differences but also the similarities between the Capitals
Easy paced trip.
We loved everything we saw. The pace was great. The optionals we took were great. Our tour director did an excellent job!!
The itinerary covers alot in the time allotted. The local experts were knowledgeable and pleasant. Between them and the Tour Director, they shared a great deal of information about the long-standing history of the 4 countries we visited. History from say the 1600's thru early 1800's and during WWII. I would suggest they share less of that and more about current times, say 1900's to current. Form of government, taxes, local customs, education systems, economy, cost of living, diversity, climate, etc. This would be more interesting and helpful in understanding life there today. Also, a suggestion, on long bus rides... take a quiet break for 1/2 hour and let people absorb the experiences and rest a bit. Restaurant choices were good and hotels were good. Bus was comfortable. Overall, another very fine Insight Vacation.
Good pace, a mixture and organized tours, along with unscheduled time where one is free to explore on their own or see other museums that are possibly not scheduled as part of the tour.
Wear comfortable shoes. Cobblestones make walking difficult with progressive glasses. Our tour guide was excellent. The use of What’s App made communication among travelers well informed of times and departures. Foods were delicious and varied.
