Very diverse and beautiful. Weather was cloudy and rainy for one of the cruises, so we couldn't see as much. The hotel in Valdez was not the best, with the people above us stomping around all night, hard to sleep, and the dining area was dirty. The travel director, Kip, was wonderful! Very upbeat, informative and knowledgeable. Had a lot of fun with him and the bus driver. Overall, we had a great trip and saw the sights and things we wanted to, and added things also.
So much better than a cruise! You see so much more of the interior of Alaska. We were escoered to 5 towns, took 2 buses, 3 boats and 1 train.
Majestic Alaska is an awesome trip. It is so much more than even described. If you want to have a great Alaska experience- book this trip!
Got to see a lot in short period of time. Nice itinerary and great tour organizer.
My experience on the Alaska land tour was fantastic, with stunning landscapes, knowledgeable tour director (*personal info removed by Feefo*), and well-organized itineraries that showcased the beauty of Alaska. The included activities, like scenic drives and visits to national parks, were highlights, offering breathtaking views and opportunities to learn about the region’s culture and history. However, I found the Tundra optional tour to be overpriced and quite disapointing i.e. hardly any wildlife sightings. Notwithstabding, it is still a very memorable trip with room for improvement in the value of optional excursions.
This trip was very enjoyable - we were the only Australians in a bus of 24 US citizens. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The last day in Seward was a very long day which left most very tired at day's end. Some had early flights home the next morning which caused some to miss the day or left them very tired. The accommodation was very nice - the meals at organized events was OK but it is very difficult to feed so many people at once - chicken, frozen vegies and rice got a bit monotonous. We ate mostly at local restaurants rather than in the hotels. Our Guide and Driver were fantastic. We had some wonderful experiences.
It hit all I wanted from visiting Alaska. Could of past up the ox farm and had another hike in Denali but the director and driver were great knowledgeable and kind
The scenery was amazing. The only thing I could have skipped was the panning for gold.
Initially we were unsure about the itinerary, seemed like some items/stops might not apply to us. As the trip progressed we found we learned a great deal more about the areas because of these stops. The itinerary was full and we were kept busy. We visited places that were wonderful and possibly not as easily accessible had we been on our own. We are very pleased wit *personal info removed by Feefo*, and our coach driver, *personal info removed by Feefo* added a great deal to our day to day activities…they were a wonderful addition to our day to day routine.
our tour guide was wonderful both as a guide and as a person. She helped make the trip more fun. is an excellent driver and we were relaxed in the coach. Many wonderful people on the trip. The sites were beautiful. My wife and I had a great time. The itinerary should include the time frame of the tours daily to better prepare the customer. The Hilton in Anchorage was disgraceful- room not clean and both elevators down when we arrived so that one had to either wait or carry their luggage up many floors.
Felt I paid a good price for an activity packed adventure with an excellent tour director Jane and a very dependable driver . The main event was the natural beauty of Alaska. Weather is so important on this tour. The accommodations were often not the best, but after all it was Alaska and wilderness
The trip was a great way to see a beautiful slice of Alaska. However, the trip itinerary was not well explained prior to each day. There was confusion on the side trips that we had to follow-up on to make sure the reservation was made. On our trip last year through the National Parks, the tour guide rotated seats daily to make sure everybody got a view. Name tags were placed by your new seat each morning. It was also a great way to learn everybody's name throughout the trip. On the Alaska trip, this was not done and I thought it was more difficult to match names with faces.
Well thought out itinerary. Some early mornings but needed for distance travelled. Hotels were of a high standard. Driver and tour director professional and friendly.
The optional and included activities were excellent. The early starts weren't much fun but I guess they were necessary to complete the activities. The hotel in Valdez didn't have air conditioning.
Our guide was very knowledgable and had a good sense of humor. She kept us well informed at all times and was a pleasure to talk with along the way.
The list of excursions sent out prior didn’t match up with what actually we could do. One mentioned paying in Canadian $ and we weren’t able to do that.
It’s a nice overview of Alaska. Loved Denali, the Denali National Park guide bus ride into the back country, an optional excursion - small plane landing on a glacier, the dome train ride / dinner and Valdez and Seward / boat excursions. The Fairbanks part of the trip / hotel wasn’t great. Would have preferred to stay in a chain hotel like Hampton Inn over the Rivers Edge.
