Delight in an Oaxaca culinary experience
The historical related activities (like archeological sites and historic learning) was a good mix with the more modern culture and current vibe of Mexico. Also experiencing the faster pace of CDMX versus Puebla/Oxaca was a great contrast.
Good mix of activities, though it feels like someone at the main office dropped the ball and didn't pan ahead. Not getting tickets to the Frida museum was entirely poor planning and is unacceptable. The demonstration on New Year's getting cancelled is understandable, but alternative plans should have been made. New Year's occurs every year so it's not like it was a surprise or you didn't have time to make alternative arrangements.
Very nice trip that gives a great opportunity to explore Mexican cities and have local experiences (like the tortilla/mole cooking "class") as well as to learn about the culture and history of Mexico
Far exceeded our expectations. The activities were well planned providing insight into the culture and history of the region. The CEO and our group made it an even more rewarding and enriching experience
Enjoyed it immensely. Will look for other National Geographic tours, and will likely travel with your Company again.
My Mexico trip was a 10/10 experience, filled with rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. I explored Mexico City, Puebla, and Oaxaca, visiting handicraft markets and enjoying a variety of authentic Mexican foods. Cesar was exceptional in ensuring I had plenty of delicious vegetarian options, and his communication throughout the trip was excellent, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. The local guides were incredibly knowledgeable, offering insightful details that enriched the experience. The unique cultural experiences, such as the Talavera workshop, cooking class, and textile show, deepened my connection to Mexico, creating an unforgettable adventure.
One of our favorite trips, with G and otherwise. I also want to commend Cesar, our second CEO who shadowed Edgar throughout our trip. He was a wonderful person and guide also.
This was my third and favorite G trip! It introduced me to Mexico's diverse culture and people and made me want to learn more about its history. The tour took us to the "main attractions," which were fascinating and impressive, but also let us spend time with real people and see sights that other tours probably don't. Our CEO, Edgar, was excellent, as were the local guides, and the food was amazing!
