Very comprehensive and informative article about the importance and history of the areas we visited
Hotels were patient and very accommodating
The hotels were much nicer than I expected for a more cost efficient trip. They were also very clean and conveniently located as well
Not too strenuous
All elements of the tours (coach, hotels) were very good quality. Enjoyed the sights, people and country very much. Feedback - I would mention is that when arriving at a significant site (ie: Cliffs of Moher) the time limit of 2 hours (which also included time to get a lunch) was not enough to truly enjoy the sites. Felt rushed to eat and / or see sights in that minimal time frame. Secondly, the first hotel rooms (Dublin Travel Lodge PLUS) were too crowded.
The coach was well kept. The hotels could have been better
Worry free. Arrangements made and we just started enjoying.
Excellent selection of places to visit & stay. Would have liked longer in some places. Personally would prefer more 2 night stays, but I will know to choose a longer tour next time! (My 1st big overseas trip on my own!)
Some hotels were far from the main area and did not have air conditioning
Great itinerary, you are on the go and get a lot in.
Loved the hotels, but would have liked some that were closer to the center of town, some were 30 to 45 min walk to the nearest restaurant . Also would love it we could have 2 days at the least per city stay. So we can investigate the local towns more....The coach was great. Loved the local aspect on local businesses as well.
Very helpful tour director. Driver very skillful and cheerful.excellent hotels, most close to centre's. Very good price for an 8night trip.
It was a beautiful trip! The coach was excellent, the itinerary good, sometimes rushed as in all trips. The hotels, except for the two I mentioned, the rest were great!
We found that the itinerary could have had more included, particularly the first and last day of the tour. The coach and staff were good but unfortunately one of the hotels wasn't so good and should be removed from the itinerary.
I explained that in the first review
Great sights to see in Ireland from Dublin to Belfast
The itinerary was good. We had a few extra stops . The coach was excellent and comfortable. was very professional and felt safe. The castle oaks House accommodations - see comments in previous block. I would seriously recommend upgrading to another hotel. Not happy with that accommodation. As a company you can provide better accommodations. Corr’s corner hotel to far from city centre. The accommodations were fair to good.,
The itinerary and coach were great. One of the hotels, Corrs Corner, was a bit confusing to navigate (room numbers not matching floor numbers). We also had a problem with the toilet not working at this hotel and the manager and staff were a bit condescending. They did eventually let us move to a new room.
The itinerary was great, almost covering the entire country of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It’s what I would call a “sampler”, now I know where I want to come back to and spend more time. All hotels, except 1, were great. The Travel Lodge Plus in Dublin City Center had AC. None of the others did, but all had windows you could open and the nights were cool. The Limerick hotel was not good. Old, in need of upgrades and dirty. The coach was immaculate and considering how much time we spent on it, very comfortable.
I wouldn't put anyone in the Castle Oaks House Hotel in Limerick. The place has a bad smell because everything is so old, furniture and carpets. The TD could have been more organized regarding not having a seat rotation everyday and no Vox boxes to hear the local Specialists.
One thing I did wish I knew ahead of time was how few hours we had of free time. I guess we didn’t realize that most days would be 8 -10 hours of driving.
Need to give more details about the actual trip, and excursions
Well organized with concise timelines to fit in the visits to parks, museums etc. We were to do a farm visit but it was cancelled. I was disappointed but turns out when cross into Canada it could have been a problem. The last day's visit from Dublin to Wicklow was very rushed. It took too long to get there and we only had 1hr and 1/2. Not nearly enough time to see this beautiful historical site. I should have stayed in Dublin to visit the Trinity Library and The Book of Kells, or Guiness. There was a race going on which created havoc with traffic. I would have liked more organized trips in Dublin. I missed some things I wanted to do.
Travel director and driver were great. Castle Oaks House hotel was a disappointment due to steep and narrow staircase to access rooms, dangerous raised front door step, and lack of phone to contact reception.
The itinerary was great and ample time was provided to visit places. The coach was comfortable with , Tour Director ensuring everyone was entertained. Credit to with his organisation as we did not have to wait on anyone during the whole tour. was a great driver and we never felt uncomfortable when on the tight roads. Accommodation was great in most places.
This was a great way to see a lot of Ireland in one trip. You keep moving at a pretty fast pace so you can see so much. That way you can decide to go back one day and spend more time wherever you choose.
I like history and architecture, for me I would have liked to see more of each major town. Definitely include Galway next time. Belfast gave 2 options to see. I wanted both but could only choose one. But to organise 45 people and their tastes is a no win for Coatsaver. Maybe allow a tad more time at Moher. Or better to emphasise the use of the buses to save time which would mean walking to the next formations. Always allow time or arrive early to allow people to kiss the Blarney Stone. I did it and now I can't stop talking.
We were able to see the quaint and beautiful towns, as well as the bustling cities like Dublin and Belfast. It was a perfect combination of both.
Whirlwind tour that hits all the beautiful spots.
The itinerary was good, of course we knew what it was in advance, so it met our expectation for the time we had to travel. The Travel Director and Driver were both good with the local knowledge they had and the coach was kept spotless. The hotels were reasonable and met our expectations for the Costsaver brand, although some were a long way out of the centre of the primary location - too far to walk - requiring use of local taxi's or public transport. The included dinners were somewhat ordinary and on one occasion drinks were not supplied when we were told they would be.
When booking a tour with Costsaver I strongly suggest to book all excursions
Our Ireland trip was amazing, thanks to our phenomenal travel director, and our expert driver. enthusiasm and knowledge made every moment special, with fantastic suggestions for free time that led us to charming local spots and unforgettable experiences. skillful driving ensured we traveled safely and punctually, navigating the scenic routes with ease. The country itself is breathtaking with lush green landscapes stretch endlessly, from rolling hills to dramatic cliffs, the Atlantic Ocean views along the coast are simply awe-inspiring, and the enchanting drive through Killarney National Park, where the forest’s misty, towering trees and serene lakes felt like stepping into a fairytale. This tour was a perfect blend of Ireland’s natural beauty and a top-notch team. I can’t recommend it enough!
It’s a busy one. You have to have lots of good energy and be willing to get up at seven and out the door by eight. You have to be willing to be flexible with others and with the plans and the overall plan. You must be able to tolerate long distance driving without too much breaks.
