This was an amazing trip for my husband and our two daughters in their early 20’s. It’s nice because of no headache with making decisions, everything is done for you.
Fast paced but got to experience a lot. Fraces our tour guide was excellent as was our coach driver.
The tour Irish Highlights was excellent. I wish the tour lasted a week longer. Neil and Stevie were the best. Schedules, timing and interesting places to see and do were fantastic. Neil provided information to prepare us for places we were to visit and was very knowledgeable. The coach was perfectly clean. Optional tours were fantastic. The tour guide went out of his way to facilitate us having alit of fun and help us if needed, re food choice, answering questions, joining in sing a longs etc. The accommodations were good locationsThe only thing that bothered me was that there was a large group of people who constantly used the bus wc before and after every stop instead of using restrooms off the bus. It seemed that they were constantly up and down the aisle. I believe the two Trafalgar tours I have done were equally excellent, the guides and drivers were excellent and I will do another Trafalgar tour. I highly recommend Trafalgar.
Love the trip, saw a lot in a few days.
It’s all about the synergy between the Travel Director and Coach driver. However you can drop/bypass the “Old Punch Bowl” in Dublin on the first day. The meal was rushed and not the best, and seating was extremely cramped. Like really cramped. Additionally my wife’s 1st glass of wine came out of a bottle (good wine ) but her 2nd glass was delivered in a new glass but was junk (suspect poor quality ). Not sure Trafalgar is getting their monies worth from that particular site. Seriously find another venue other than the Old Punch Bowl - it’s over rated.
Fun trip that hit most of the highlights
You had plenty of time to walk around on your own. The stop in between were beautiful views
The initial dinner at the Punchbowl was less than I expected and I felt very rushed to eat and get out. What should be a time to meet and greet new fellow travelers, was an assembly line dinner. On the other hand the last dinner at the family home of the country Irish cook, was warm and welcoming. She did a great job of cooking, serving and conversing politely with the guests!
Best trip. So many delightful historical things to see. Never a boring time. All the sights were all varied to please any person. Love the scenery, the food, the people, the music. I cannot say 1 bad thing. Even the rain made me feel I had seen all of what Ireland is. Will definitely return. P. Hamilton
I really enjoyed this experience with our tour guide Sally and bus driver, Michael. We were shown some amazing sights in Ireland and enjoyed some wonderful entertainment in an Irish style. The scenery was spectacular. I would thoroughly recommend this itinerary to anyone who would like to enjoy what Ireland has to offer.
This itinerary had a nice mix of seeing irelands countryside, seeing tourist destinations, a touch of local sites, and free time to explore on our own.Tamara was kind and knowledgeable. We were impressed with Stevie’s driving and knew he would keep us safe. I also appreciate their daily planning to get us to crowded sites before it became crowded. Our only negative on the trip was our flight booked by Trafalgar was cancelled by Aer Lingus. Trafalgar was unable to help us with changing our flights. We booked a new flight ourselves and arrived in time for the bus tour to start but we missed our tour of Dublin and we paid for a hotel room we never were in.
Our Tour guide and driver were outstanding
It's a jam-packed tour. Very interesting and informative about the site we were visiting. Saw places that I have never seen before. Enjoyed the food, but I have Celiac Disease, so I couldn't eat of the bread.
We totally loved our tour; the driver and tour Director were well above of any expectations we expected. They were aursome and a must for your company. Every venue we visited was excellent. Only one thing could you please include a dungeon within the tour, Thanks Greg and Jana Whittaker
Great trip the best tour guide and bus driver!
The trip was great. Was nice to have everything planned, just sit back and relax. From the wonderful hotels to all the different sites and adventures
So much! We saw so many places and had the best tour guide, *personal info removed by Feefo* and best coach driver, *personal info removed by Feefo* We believe we saw much more with Trafalgar than if we done the trip on our own. We would highly recommend this trip.
The itinerary was great, we went to places where the locals were, I like that. our tour person was excellent, she told us about the history of Ireland and played songs for us on the bus. She was a wealth of information about Ireland's history and I enjoyed the information. The small pubs and different places to eat were great fun.
This was my second tour with Trafalgar and it wss just as spectacular as the first. Everything was so great -- the experiences were well-planned and really fun, our tour guide was excellent and our driver was absolutely amazing. I loved it!
I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Ireland trip! was an incredible tour director so knowledgeable, organized, and full of energy. She made every stop more meaningful with her stories, insights, and fun personality. was a wonderful driver, always calm, professional, and making sure we felt safe and comfortable on the road. Together, they made the trip smooth, enjoyable, and full of craic. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide us through such a beautiful country.
was an exceptional guide - knowledgeable & providing just the right amount of information about our travels & the areas in Ireland we visited.
TD was poor at customer care and creating visitor interaction. More into herself. Dirty and junked up pub visit was very poor. Other experiences were far better.
Lots of site seeing within the 6 days but not enough time spent at certain locations to see it all. Felt rushed at some sites. Very disappointed that the first day walking tour of Dublin turned out to be a bus tour around the city with no stops to visit the sites.
Fun and personal experience with unique attractions
Great tour! Loved all the stops at off the beaten path gems.
Do not plan to see any other sites on the tour except the ones explicitly mentioned. We wanted to see a few other sites but the bus only went to designated areas. If you are over 5'10" tall, the bus does not have room for your knees. Hotels were very nice, food was very nice. Our host played Irish music on the bus for an hour at a higher volume than necessary. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. Better to rent a car and see what you want to see. Trip was very regimented and quick. No time to take in the Book of Kells which was 1.5 miles from our hotel. I have been on over 30 cruises and many trips to Europe but will not take another bus tour.
This trip was amazing! Our guide & driver were excellent! I loved how well we were taken care of & the fun we had going to out of the way places & joining in on the fun at local pubs, etc. was really fun, personable & knowledgable. Our local specialists were amazing too! Trafalgar is the way to go! I’ll be back!
It was easy, historical and most of all fun. Everything was done and ready for us! We had the most amazing guide. I would go back in a minute and probably will someday
Informative, funny and entertaining. Everything was organised like clockwork. Thouroughally enjoyable.
There are great places to visit, so much history, and many opportunities to enjoy an Irish coffee!
The planning and execution of this tour by Trafalgar's staff was beyond what I expected. Every planned excursion was previewed thoroughly, on time, interesting, and met my expectations. Transportation, portage, meals, etc. were as advertised. Would recommend this tour and the tour director to everyone interesting in seeing and enjoying Ireland.
I was impressed that the trip was stress free and well organized. I especially enjoyed the dinner at an Irish Pub and the Be My Guest dinner. The food was delicious. The Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, and House of Waterford were highlights of the tour. Solo travelers like myself were seated at dinner with other solo travelers which made it easy to make friends. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
One of the best trips I've been on. Absoutly fantastic tour Director () and driver (). This was a first time trip to Ireland for my husband and he loved every minute of it.
************ is an excellent tour guide and is an asset to Trafalgar! The Irish tour we enjoyed in August was excellent. It included so many extras that my husband I didn't expect on the tour which left us going home with even more happier memories. We are planning our next tour to Egypt with Trafalgar. The company exceeded our expectations!
I thought they did an excellent job. The trip is well planned out and I would certainly do it again. was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and helpful and I would highly recommend her. There were a couple of places i wish we had more time like the cliffs of Moher.
THE COACH SHOULD BE PARKED CLOSE TO THE PLACE WE ARE VISITING NOT MILES AWAY. HOTEL ROOMS ARE TO SMALL.
Good itinerary although most tour companies have a good itinerary. I especially liked that we could pay our gratuities and optional tours all at once by CC during the tour and the gratuities were a set amount. Also liked that last hotel was at airport so it was easy to get home.
A little hectic. Although I enjoyed what I saw and the people I met it was rushed.
It was a very busy schedule, but our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip so enjoyable. All arrangements were well explained and there was so much to see. I absolutely loved the tour!
Great action and scenery throughout. our tour director was always on point. Very organized and always informative.
It's a good mix of different activities.
See lots of highlights of Ireland without the driving
Great “outside-the-box” experiences & visits. Well done! *personal info removed by Feefo*was/is a great & knowledgeable tour guide.
This was a great tour. It’s my first with any tour company but I can’t imagine it could be any better. The tour guide James *personal info removed by Feefo* was wonderful. His knowledge of everything Irish was unsurpassed. He was on top of every detail of the tour, informed us at every step. He was very upbeat ,approachable and accommodating with some special requests. I would highly recommend Trafalgar Tours to anyone and I would also tell them to look for *personal info removed by Feefo* as their guide. *personal info removed by Feefo*and Trafalgar are a winning combination. I’m sure other tour guides are very good I’m just so impressed with *personal info removed by Feefo* Every excursion we attended was interesting and as a group we never felt like we were rushed through. All the presenters were very friendly and took time to go into detail about their specific event. They made us feel like friends not tourists. We enjoyed it so much on the plane ride home we were planning to come back next year. Still do much to see of Ireland. My sister and I were born in Dublin and we were able to connect with relatives on the first and last day. All in all it was the best time I have ever had, ditto for my sister. Thankyou Trafalgar and thankyou *personal info removed by Feefo*
What a wonderful tour! *personal info removed by Feefo* did a fantastic job directing our tour and communicating with us! Ireland has so much to offer, and we loved every experience from famous sites to the local pubs.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. *personal info removed by Feefo* was an amazing tour guide and our bus driver *personal info removed by Feefo* drove our massive, brand new bus like a rock star! The Irish Highlights tour hit all the major spots in Ireland and took us to a few places off the beaten path. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. We had a variety of ages on our tour, and everyone looked out for each other and seemed to have an awesome time. This was a truly magical experience. Even with a broken foot, traveling alone, and wearing a moon boot- I still had an awesome time!
Loved it. Great guide and bus driver. Optional excursions were so much fun.
Lots of fun. Not only the "travel book highlight", but also a couple unique out of the way experiences. Travel Director *personal info removed by Feefo* , was amazing with stories and anecdotes.
The highlight of our Irish Highlights tour was our tour guide! He is warm, welcoming, funny, and kind. He was wonderful to our family and everyone on the trip. He made a personal connection with everyone in our party (of varying ages). We enjoyed his stories, songs, chatter, and overall fun personality. You have a gem in . He clearly loves his country and showing it to visitors. We will miss him like a friend.
*personal info removed by Feefo* was outstanding Terrific understanding about Ireland history Went out of his way to accommodate our group of 11 Would recommend him always
Great itinerary. Saw a lot and had fun.
It was amazing our tour guide and bus driver*personal info removed by Feefo* were wonderful very knowledgeable and lots of fun helpful when needed
Great itinerary. Wish we had more time on some stops.
was amazing…added so much to our experience.
too much time spent on the bus... should have been more things to see in shorter distances
Love how we went off the tourist path to the different pubs and eateries.
Food: I found the food very bland and repetitive. Most of the food was also overcooked and dry. For example, There were many items on the Fitzwilton menu that I would have rather had than the options that were offered to us. Perhaps doing a dining credit to allow guests to choose their dining experience would offer more choices. The final farm to table dinner was the only one that I would repeat of all the options. Accomodations: I booked this trip using Luxury Escapes and I would not consider any of our accomodations in the luxury class. We often had poor, worn out pillows and very starchy sheets on the bed. Some of our towels were also tattered and clearly past their usage. Optional Experiences: the two optional experiences we did were just ok. When you pay extra for something on these trips, I feel like they should be special. I also do not think they were worth the price paid for them in any of the cases. 85 Euro for overcooked food that didn't fill anyone up plus some local music (which you can get in any pub) is very overpriced. This experience makes me not want to consider optional experiences on Trafalgar in the future.
Fantastic trip and fantastic tour director! just made this trip seamlessly easy and enjoyable for my family and me!
This tour was nothing short of spectacular. Our tour director was outstanding - a wonderful guide, excellent storyteller and historian. Her warmth and enthusiasm permeated throughout our trip. She took care of every detail so that we could fully relax and enjoy our time in Ireland. Our driver was top notch, nimbly steering our coach through the tight country lanes and portering our baggage at each hotel. The accommodations and meals were very nice, including the full Irish breakfasts. The optional adventures were well worth experiencing. Simply amazing.
It’s an enjoyable, lowkey tour. You’ll learn a decent amount about the history and culture of Ireland. The food and entertainment at the optional experiences are high quality. My only objection is that the optional experiences are a little repetitive, mostly Irish music and dancing.
Exciting itinerary with diverse cultural experience that will be remembered for a lifetime. You will capture the picturesque views of Ireland all throughout the tour and experience the true wonder of the Irish people.
The Tour Director was extremely knowledgeable and worked so hard behind the scenes to make it seem effortless. The accommodation was great and the included meals really good.
Hotel used can be better ,rooms no aircon was stuffy in Dublin
It was a very good overview of Ireland.
our Tour director has a wealth of knowledge and tour experience.Excellent experience in sync with the coach driver. They team up well. Money well spent having to travel from Perth. Img wife and I have been to UK and Scotland. We always wanted to see Ireland. We would strongly recommend Telstar Tours.
Perfect mix of sights and experiences.
This was my first tour with Trafalgar. , our driver, and our tour director set the bar very high. was a very safe and confident driver. The coach was kept very clean thanks to . was very thorough with every part of our trip. She did a great job of telling us all about various places. was very knowledgeable, and you could tell she was passionate about her country. The extra treats she provided us were a nice touch. Ireland is so beautiful! I especially loved our time in Killarney. I highly recommend going on the carriage ride through the Killarney National Park. I especially loved going to Chef Ballyknocken's House. We had a delicious meal! The week went by so fast! If you can, I suggest arriving a day before the beginning of the tour to get acclimated if you are coming from a long flight overseas. I hope to go back to Ireland again someday and look forward to my next Trafalgar trip!
We had a wonderful trip. Our tour guide kept us updated every day for as to where we would be going, times to be ready and told us about the highlights along the way. Our bus driver was an amazing driver and got us to our destinations on time everywhere we went.
What a wonderful trip!!! Allie kept us informed at all times about bed departures, meal times, etc, so much so that I don’t remember delaying departures at all. She further provided us with extra knowledge of the country, cultures, customs, and a number of extra stops, when time allowed, which further made us anxious for the next ! Combined with our driver, Steve, who kept the bus exceptionally clean, and got us to our destinations on time, or early, in the safest manner. I feel we luckily were handled by the best tour director and driver combination Trafalgar could possibly pair up! Thank you for an experience to provide lasting memories for a lifetime!
Our tour guide Allie was amazing! The part that bothered me was that our family of 5 ended up having 3 rooms at each hotel and we could have had 2. A room was wasted each night because we had a double bed and a twin bed in each room. We could have saved money by nothing having that extra room. That was very upsetting. The other thing that bothered me was the extra 5 excursions they want to charge you far. Some of that should have been included in our price of the trip. I felt like that was just another way for trafalgar to make money.
Well balanced for sight seeing and travel time. Tour guide was exceptional as was the driver.
Trafalgar Highlights tour of Ireland was FANTASTIC. Our tour experience rep was AMAZING as well as our fantastic experienced bus driver. I can't say enough great things about all the memories and fun we had.
This tour was outstanding. It was everything I expected & more. I loved the daily schedule & the professionalism of our tour guide . Our driver was an amazing driver. It was a trip of a lifetime for me & my daughters.
It touched on every major scenic tourist spot and also had some small town gems.
was the best tour guide and host for our tour. Very knowledgeable about everywhere we visited and the experiences were outstanding! He made the trip everything we expected and made our experience exceptional.
was an excellent tour guide and was an awesome driver. They made the trip run very smoothly.
We had a really great time.
Lots of great sights in 7 days! Perfect for us!!
the first day was rough no sleep on plane / arrived 5:00 am could not get into hotel room until 6:30 pm/ meal at Waterford hotel was 1 /2 hours late and the pork and fish were poor. Guide and bus driver were great.
Our tour director was superb, his knowledge and the way he delivered his knowledge was second to none, he was informative and entertaining at the same time. This was my first time in Ireland. I was after a cultural experience, especially traditional Irish music. I felt that I did get some of this in a staged fashion.
Busy but we were able to see alot. Friendly people
The Highlights itinerary was paced perfectly with visits to great places and free time to enjoy at one’s s own pace. is a terrific and knowledgeable guide I learned so much about Ireland history on this trip. And such a beautiful country the Irish people are great stewards of their land. Stevie guided our bus through some very narrow areas and kept us on schedule throughout. Much respect to these professionals!
Very well organized, we loved our tour guy . He had so much history information, he was very helpful, friendly and funny too 😆
Don’t do it! The bus is so uncomfortable that people were vomiting. The seat sizes are too small for me at 5’2inches, petite. The restaurants didn’t have enough room for us and we were shoved into an area that was so small the servers couldn’t get to us. The food was marginal, and several people were complaining. We had one hotel in a sketchy part of town. I I had to spend hundreds for “optional” experiences that should have been included. Good things- tour director and excellent driver.
The itinerary was a great way to see a lot of Ireland in a week. As a first-time visitor, I was able to travel to more cities and go to far more sites than I would have imagined. Of course, the must-sees like the Cliffs of Moher and Blarney Castle were included, along with great optional experiences like the jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park.
This itinerary was an excellent way to see Ireland in a short amount of time (hence the Irish highlights name) You were up and out early each day which was definitely worth it even if you weren't a morning person like me. We were able to get to our location by 9/10 am and see everything without hordes of crowds so we got to enjoy our sights even more. If you've never gone to Ireland i would 100% recommend this, it was excellent.
Sure we had a great time in Ireland as I have already sent you our feelings on the tour officials
Our guide, made a really good itinerary into a great trip with his knowledge of Ireland, his relationships with the local specialists, and his caring for the group. The itinerary was all encompassing of Southern Ireland, but it was ’ hearding of the 50 stray cats on our bus, with the special stops at local attractions where he led the interactions that made the trip great.
Fast paced trip with frequent on & off bus for sights or pit stops. May need to reconsider if having knee or hip problems. Also, frequent change of hotels & early (7:00-7:30) pick up for luggage. The optional experiences were great but not all are necessary if more rest is better. For older folks, I’d recommend arrival in Dublin the day/night before the trip starts as an early arrival on the first day of the tour makes for a very long sleepless day.
Enjoyed the trip - learned a lot of the history. Trip was well organized and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful.
It is definitely highlights, I wish we could have spent more time in some of the locations, but it was a great trip overall.
Great way to get a taste of everything Ireland has to offer! Travel director and bus driver were absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend this trip.
Beautiful scenery, great experliences
