I really enjoyed this trip! I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland, but was overwhelmed with the idea of booking and planning it myself so this was the best option for me. The free time add on’s were well thought out and the amount of fun activities we squeezed into the week were the best. Even though it was only 8 days it didn’t feel rushed, or like it was too long! I have no regrets about booking this and would do it again in a heart beat!
Fast paced and jam packed - which is perfect for me. I love how much I got to see in so little time. was an amazing TM who was funny and knowledgable. was the bets driver I could've asked for.
and were fabulous. Had a blast!
I always dreamed of traveling to Ireland and I’m so glad I did it with Contiki. Every single day was incredible and I couldn’t have asked for a better itinerary. The highlights of the trip were the e Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Giants Causeways and the Sheep Farm. Our Trip manager Evie and driver Barney were wonderful! I brought my friend with me and she also had a great time. We also made some incredible friends ☺️ highly recommend this trip!
This was my very first Contiki trip. I had heard a lot of great things from my friend who recommended Contiki to me, and it very much lived up to the expectations. Our trip Manager contacted us nice and early to give us a heads up on all the things that would be happening on our trip. Our driver was extraordinary, I still dont understand how he was able to maneuver the coach bus the way he did. The FTAs were great, I did almost all of the additions, the only thing I would change is maybe add an extra day somewhere to slow down the pace of the trip a little bit as it did feel quite rapid.
I lived it and was the perfect trip and couldn’t be better
I had a great time, made some new friends, saw a bunch of great places and was fully immersed in the wonderful culture of Ireland
It was just the break I needed. A great way to spend a week in Ireland seeing as much as possible in such a short amount of time. Wish I had more time to explore the Emerald Isle!
The week in Ireland was jam-packed and filled with all the best known and unknown about Ireland. I went in expecting a fun week, but it far exceeded my expectations! Was my first Contiki and was the perfect adventure to dip my toe in haha. Loved the Sheep farm tour and the Giants Causeway, highly recommend for those interested :)
Such a fun trip! Our trip manager and driver were fantastic. So many cool things to see. I wish we had more time at the Giants Causeway and in Belfast. The Blarney Stone was something I felt we could have skipped. But really, overall, a great time!
This was such a great trip. I was a little skeptical before coming, but I am so glad I did. The trip manager was fantastic. He is so knowledgable about Ireland and did a great job recommending places to go when we had free time. The add-ons were so fun and I don't regret a single second. I met so many awesome people and the group was large enough that people could break off into smaller groups to do their own thing. Highly recommend.
Everything was great. The only thing I would’ve changed is the stay in Clonmel was unnecessary, and too far from the next day’s activity’s
This trip exceeded any expectations I had going into it. You get to see so much of Ireland and really appreciate its culture, history, and of course the beautiful landscapes. It was a week jam-packed with endless fun. Notable mention to , the best guide ever!
Trip was awesome had the time of my life and the places that they took us too where perfect
Such a great trip! It was a jam packed schedule, so you really get to see everything, but some days it doesn’t leave a ton of time to explore! I wish we’d had another hour at the Cliffs of Moher or Giants Causeway (I love a unesco site!) just to wander around, but I think the time we had was enough to enjoy it. The front half of the trip was very nature oriented, and the back half was LOADED with history (Derry and Belfast being in Northern Ireland, a big focus those days was on the history of conflict there, since they are divided by walls.) We ended with one last lovely day in Dublin, with a big chunk of free time midday to explore the city (there’s tons of free museums in city center!), a fun farewell dinner, and one last hop to temple bar before bed. My tour group was so fun, and I felt very welcomed.
Disappointing Itinerary Planning Despite Beautiful Destinations The most important part of any trip like this is the itinerary, and unfortunately, that’s where this experience fell short. While we covered many of Ireland’s major sights, we were rushed through nearly every stop with barely enough time to truly appreciate any of them. For example, we had only 60 minutes at the Giant’s Causeway—and once you factor in washroom breaks, ticketing, and getting off the coach, you’re left with maybe 40–45 minutes to experience one of the most iconic natural wonders in the country. This was a consistent issue throughout the trip. Ironically, despite all the rushing, we also had excessive downtime at less time-sensitive locations. We spent over 3 hours at the Titanic Museum and another 3 at the Guinness Storehouse—far more than necessary. Even after thoroughly exploring every exhibit at Titanic, we still ended up waiting around for nearly an hour. Most days we arrived at our hotels by 6:00 PM, which felt early considering how much more could have been done with the day. Arriving closer to 7 or 8 PM would have allowed for better pacing and more meaningful experiences at the key attractions. In short: Ireland was beautiful, but the pacing and prioritization of time at stops needs a serious rethink. The itinerary felt inefficient and misaligned with what travelers actually come to see.
From start to end I had an amazing time meeting such lovely people from all over the world. and were fantastic taking us around Ireland. Would highly recommend this trip to others.
Great time and enjoyed our Contiki staff. Just wished the overall size of the group was smaller. 53 travelers was a lot
as a first time Contiki participant, this trip exceeded my expectations. the itinerary was great, the trip team make everything run smoothly. it was overall a great experience.
Had such a fun week with an awesome group, trip manager and driver and loved exploring Ireland and seeing all the beauty it has to offer. A great way to see this country and make memories with new people who quickly become friends. Highly recommend!
