The adventure blends challenging hikes—including the iconic Inca Trail—with immersive local interactions and cultural experiences in cities and remote communities. Accommodation, transport, and meals are all thoughtfully included, and as the largest operator in the region, the tour ensures fair porter treatment and high-quality service. The unique selling point? This journey offers not only legendary trekking but also a rare, authentic connection to the people and traditions of the Andes, making it a standout for those seeking more than just a hike.
This trip did not disappoint. Even when we had to pivot plans due to illness, we were still able to see Machu Picchu and so much more. We felt supported the whole way, even when we were not with the whole group due to illness. Everyone at G Adventures had our experience in mind and helped to make the most of our trip despite some obstacles. The locations were amazing, the guides knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall - excellent experience. We would travel with G Adventures again!
Fantastic itinerary, great experience
I had such a wonderful experience on the Inca Trail trip. The G Adventures staff were all enthusiastic, engaged and knew what was needed to make the trip exciting, educational and enjoyable. I recommend G Adventures to anyone interested in being immersed into a new culture and and enjoying an experience of a lifetime.
It was a great experience to se as much as possible in two weeks. The porters and crew 13 around chef Benedicto have done a great job to set up our lunch spots as well as the tents for the nights as soon as possible and the food was amazing. Our guide Julio was super supportive even in very difficult situations and I personally was totally satisfied. Especially the orientation walks with Julio in each new place we visited were very helpful especially for solo travellers.
The Inca Trail was amazing! There were definitely hard parts but the guides do an amazing job at supporting everyone to get to the end, and you feel so proud of yourself at the end of each day. The rest of the tour was a great balance of activities and free time to explore each place.
It was an amazing experience, everything (and more!), I hoped it would be! In 15 days we saw so much and had the opportunity to understand what life is like for the locals in Bolivia and Peru. Would strongly recommend! I would also like to call out Nelson from the administration team: he was always very responsive and helpful with any questions that we had and brilliant in organising all the extras I requested. I would also like to make a big thank you to Lizbet, who was the assistant on the Inca Trail. She was so supportive to the whole group, she was very aware of those who needed help and went out of her way to give it. She helped me as an individual, for which I am incredibly grateful. She is a strong asset to have within the team.
Amazing experience. Inca trail and homestay were standout highlights. Trip could have been better organised to minimise unnecessary travel. Rainbow mountain was too busy and felt unsustainable (something at odds with the g culture we love).
10/10 experience. I?d also like to give a major shoutout to the two cooks on the trek, Porfirio and Crisologo. It was my birthday and they baked a cake from scratch at 4000m. Unbelievable! I have been recommending this trip as well as Peru & Bolivia in general to everyone.
