Bolivia Tours in November 2026

This was an amazing experience. I travelled with my son and we had the best time even though we come from different generations. We met some great people- all young at heart and up for adventure.

I just trust that everything is taken care off to let us just experience and understand something of the culture. Even the altitude difficulties didn't deter the group pulling together for each other.

My husband and I are both grateful for Xema's handling of a big group on this tour. It was a challenging one and stressful to handle all the bookings, from our flights to Arequipa and back to Lima, plus the local transport (buses and trains). It was such an amazing experience Peru with the careful planning of ExpatExplore and the tour director. Another experience, different from all the other tours we joined as we used only 1 bus everyday for the tour. A different set up, I should say. Adapt, adjust and just be glad that we are all safe.

What a wonderful trip with a wide variety of experiences! We traveled all over Bolivia and were able to see and learn about the very diverse parts of the country, from Lake Titicaca to the salt flats and La Paz to Sucre. We had great guides and the trip truly exceeded our expectations.

It was a really busy but completely rewarding experience. We got a real flavour of the whole country, with its diverse landscapes, welcoming people and ancient culture. Our guide Julia was superb. Her knowledge of the history, diverse peoples, land and nature really enriched the experience and her care in ensuring we weren't floored by our time at altitude helped greatly. On some days we were often lucky enough to be the only visitors to some sites which added to the amazing atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend visiting now before it gets too busy in the coming years.

I greatly enjoyed exploring the Bolivian Altiplano, heading into the moon valley at the Atacama, salt flats in Uyuni and near Recreo, various camping stops, Cafayate vineyard excursion, etc. I liked being part of the group (with all its ups and downs) and even long drives on the truck were uplifted by people and turned into a sort of fun experience.
