Bolivia Trekking and Hiking Trips

5 reviews on bookmundi

Bolivia’s rugged, isolated terrain will challenge you physically and mentally. But you will also encounter the country’s famed beauty in the form of snow-capped mountains, well-preserved Inca trails and sacred sites. Linking the high Andean plateau with the subtropical lowlands, the popular three-day Choro Trek will take you past glaciers, suspended bridges, hot springs, untouched waterfalls, and ancient stone trails of the pre-Inca Tiwanaku people. On the way, look out for orchids, wildflowers and colorful birds as you cross cloud forests and coffee plantations. Among the more challenging Bolivia hiking tours is the seven-day Illampu circuit. The night temperatures drop well below freezing point here and you have to cross several high passes. Get introduced to the ancient Aymara culture in remote villages and see lagoons, condors and llamas. Many delightful Bolivia trekking tours can be completed within a day. Top-rated day-long hikes include the trails in Valle de las Ánimas (Valley of the Souls), which is known for its striking rocky terrain and beautiful views of the cloud-covered Illimani mountain and Mount Mururata from the valley ridge. Honest insights from past guests on our Trekking and Hiking Bolivia tours

Excellent

Really nice experience, I saw a lot things and had many highlights. It was a pitty that our first CEO was not that good and caused some negative vibes in the group. The Lares Trek was cool and no problem at all for me regarding the hike but some people should have not be on the trek because they struggled really hard and we needed to wait really long for them.

Excellent

This trip did not disappoint. Even when we had to pivot plans due to illness, we were still able to see Machu Picchu and so much more. We felt supported the whole way, even when we were not with the whole group due to illness. Everyone at G Adventures had our experience in mind and helped to make the most of our trip despite some obstacles. The locations were amazing, the guides knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall - excellent experience. We would travel with G Adventures again!

This trip was the experience of a lifetime. I’m so thankful to G Adventures, our CEO Felix, and to the other travelers in my group for making this trip better than I could have imagined! We got to see and do so much, every day was exciting and well organized.

Amazing experience, made me full in love with Peru! The massive famous hikes could of been advertised in La paz, has 1 of the most famous 6000M hikes in the world and would of been nice to know about it or put it in the optional activities so I missed out on that unfortanilty

I had such a wonderful experience on the Inca Trail trip. The G Adventures staff were all enthusiastic, engaged and knew what was needed to make the trip exciting, educational and enjoyable. I recommend G Adventures to anyone interested in being immersed into a new culture and and enjoying an experience of a lifetime.

It was a great experience to se as much as possible in two weeks. The porters and crew 13 around chef Benedicto have done a great job to set up our lunch spots as well as the tents for the nights as soon as possible and the food was amazing. Our guide Julio was super supportive even in very difficult situations and I personally was totally satisfied. Especially the orientation walks with Julio in each new place we visited were very helpful especially for solo travellers.
