Poland is a land full of surprises, with numerous old-charm attractions as well as modern conveniences. Cities like Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Torun and Gdansk all have town centres that are awe-inspiring and outstandingly picturesque. The people of Poland are industrious, friendly and content. We saw the highlights of Poland and felt that we did not miss out on any sights or events of note. The remains of Auschwitz - Birkenau were sombre but important places o visit. was an excellent Guide and was a safe driver who inspired confidence among his passengers.
There was a lot to see and do. Enough free time and optional excursions. The Tour Director was excellen. The local tour guides were knowledgeable with a great sense of humour.
Poland was a very pleasant surprise and we were most impressed. Highly recommend this country and Insight Vacations. was a great Tour Director.
The route was well planned, however to many religious sites visited. It got very boring, lost all pleasure. It was not a very relaxing tour, it all seemed rushed at times. To many early mornings. Differently not very keen on the set meals, we thought that maybe vouchers could have be issued off the price against the restaurant menu. We also thought that the excursions were overpriced for what they were.
It was wonderful, I felt like I saw Poland. was the perfect tour guide
Excellent experience and our trip advisor was tremendous. I have already recommended this trip and her, Martina, to our friends and family. All the hotels were very good and we especially enjoyed Krakow and Warsaw. We came in a day early and left a day later so we got to do and see more. All the cities and excursions were very worthwhile. The locals guides were very knowledgeable. Martina was a 10 out of 10 in taking care of everyone and providing excellent information. I traveled with friends and none of us had ever heard of Insight before but will now consider going with it again.
It hits all the historically important cities. Enroute to them, the itinerary passes through the lush countryside of farmland which immpresses nature lovers.
i think it was great and i certainly saw a lot more than i would have by myself.
wow fantastic tour
I liked the cities we visited except for Warsaw would rather have gone to a smaller city
The itinerary was well planned . The tour director Villi went out of his way to make sure all in the group are well taken cared of and happy-No one was left alone. . Was very flexible. We were always priority on going to special spots . No waiting on line . We will surely do another Insight Vacation trip . Thank you .
Perhaps over-concentration on the Nazis and Soviets, but the rest of Polish history was well covered. Our guide *personal info removed by Feefo* did an excellent job
Fantastic detailed itinerary. We visited so many places that others have never been . The Story of the Polish People is to be commended and admired . Their strength in adverse and inhuman conditions . The hotels were exceptional. Our tour guide and driver were “the best”. Highlights of Poland - a tour everyone should consider .
Zacopane not so exciting g the rest great
Great overview of Poland - it was an amazing country that may not get cited beyond Krakow and Warsaw. People were friendly and welcoming. Most hotels were centrally located with proximity to the old towns or town centers, allowing you to enjoy exploring on your own. Plenty of restaurant choices with choices of Polish favorites or international options. We enjoyed all of the optional excursions and meals, and they do allow you to decide whether to enjoy them or explore sites/museums on your own. Tour director and driver were great.
The places we saw were very interesting and beautiful. Back to back sightseeing on the same day was too tiring with insufficient free time.
Great trip. Could have a stop at a polish family (maybe multi generational ) home with a theme of polish life from the past to now and looking to the future. Too many churches, excellent hotel locations, hotel breakfast were fantastic, tour director knew his stuff and he had skills to handle emergency situations . A
It was faced paced, but did a lot of walking, saw many things and experienced a flavor of Poland.
Poland is an incredible country with a variety of interesting sites and experiences. Each day our tour took us to cities and small communities with beautiful architecture, both old and new, delicious food, scenic landscapes, cultural performances, and local people who were warm and welcoming. The tour was a good blend of rich history and modern society.
Most Poland itineraries are very similar: The country is pretty small and the tourist sites well-known and frequently visited. What makes the difference is your Tour Director, and the TD we were fortunate to have for our "Highlights of Poland" tour with Insight Vacations in July 2025 was superlative (https://www.insightvacations.com/en-us/tours/highlights-of-poland?optionId=221). Throughout our tour, Sonia not only took us to a site, she visited it with us, keeping us on time and on schedule. She not only escorted us to restaurants, she ate with us. When we visited tourist-thronged sites like the Wieliczka Salt Mine, Zakopane, Sopot, Auschwitz-Birkenau, and others, she was the first person to the ticket booth and the last to board the bus. She was (almost always) first to breakfast and last to leave the hotel lobby at night. She was fast with a flourish and speedy with a sweet. Sonia didn't just anticipate problems, she solved them quickly, efficiently, and discretely. Although not a Polish speaker, she communicated effectively via her smile, patience, and calmness. Our Local Guides in Wroclaw, Warsaw, and Gdansk will similarly excellent: Knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Poland. Marta (Gdansk guide) was fantastic; a native of Gdansk, she shared many interesting and funny stories about being raised under Communist rule.
Amazing trip with great optional excursion options!
Incredible history and culture; tour director and drivers excellent and professional
Well paced. Enough walking for younger travellers but manageable for older seniors and free time was adequate. Krakow, Gdansk, Warsaw, Zakopane, Wroclaw were all wonderful stops during the tour. Salt mine near Krakow was well worth the time spent there. , our guide was great - because he married a Polish woman and has lived in Poland for 15 years ( originally from Australia) his local knowledge of history and customs, told from a personal perspective, was entertaining and made more relatable.
Well paced. Would have liked a little more free time in the cities. You had to give up a tour if you wanted to spend time perusing the shops. Met some great people and our guide tried to be very accommodating!
