day 1 - Windohek (arrival) - Namib Desert

On arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, Windhoek, you will be met and transferred to your lodge at the Namib Desert for the night.  This is the gateway to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, where some of the highest sand dunes on Earth stand towering over the white desert plains. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool or taking part in optional activities offered at our lodge.Overnight in Namib Desert

day 2 - Namib Desert

After breakfast, set out early for the Namib Naukluft National Park to witness the sunrise transforming the desert into a canvas of apricot, red, and orange hues against a brilliant blue sky. Capture the mesmerizing beauty of the towering sand dunes as the first light of day brings them to life. Explore the surreal Deadvlei, surrounded by some of the highest dunes on earth, and visit Sossusvlei, where the dry Tsauchab River dramatically ends among the sands. For a truly memorable experience, climb one of these majestic dunes to admire the vast desert panorama below. Conclude the morning with a visit to Sesriem Canyon, a remarkable natural formation that supports life in the heart of the Namib Desert.Overnight in Namib Desert

day 3 - Namib Desert – Swakopmund

This morning after breakfast, you continue your journey toward the small settlement of Solitaire, located on the edge of the Namib Naukluft National Park — a place that truly feels like the middle of nowhere. Take a moment to enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of the famous apple pie often mentioned in travel books before continuing through the stark, rolling hills of the Kuiseb Valley en route to the Atlantic Ocean. Upon reaching the coastal town of Walvis Bay, you stop at its shallow lagoon — a RAMSAR World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most significant wetland areas. Here, over 80% of the continent’s flamingos can be seen feeding, creating a mesmerizing sight when gathered in large flocks. The journey then continues along a scenic route between the dune belt and the ocean, leading you to Swakopmund. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this charming seaside town, known for its palm-lined avenues and relaxed holiday atmosphere.Overnight in Swakopmund

day 4 - Swakopmund

After a delicious breakfast, embrace the relaxed pace of Swakopmund, often referred to as the “playground of Namibia.” This idyllic coastal town offers a wide range of experiences — from adventure-filled excursions to exploring the fascinating landscapes of the Namib Desert and its resilient flora and fauna. Enjoy coffee and freshly baked pastries in one of the charming cafés, or embark on a day tour through the rugged desert. For a different perspective, take a scenic flight over the breathtaking terrain, or satisfy your inner thrill-seeker with adrenaline-pumping activities like skydiving, quad biking, or sandboarding on the dunes. Take time to soak in the town’s charm, with its historic architecture, museums, boutique shops, and lively beach bar that reflects Swakopmund’s vibrant, bohemian character.Overnight in Swakopmund

day 5 - Swakopmund – Damaraland

Today, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, you leave the foggy coast behind and journey towards Damaraland. The drive takes you through the small mining village of Uis and past the majestic Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, rising to nearly 2,600 metres. Continuing deeper into Damaraland, one of Africa’s most sparsely populated and geologically fascinating regions, you will encounter a strikingly rugged landscape that is home to the elusive desert elephant, black rhino, and free-roaming antelope. You arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, with the rest of the day free to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.Overnight in Damaraland

day 6 - Damaraland

Set out early this morning on a scenic nature drive through the wilderness of the Otjimboyo Concession, heading towards Brandberg, Namibia’s tallest mountain. This is an ideal time to capture the soft sunrise light and the lingering morning mist surrounding the mountain. The journey continues into the dry Ugab riverbed, which we follow back towards camp. Pause beneath the shade of a grand camelthorn tree to enjoy a light picnic lunch. As you travel along the winding riverbed, you may be fortunate to spot the elusive desert elephants that inhabit Damaraland, feeding on the nutritious pods of the riverbank trees. Upon returning to camp, there’s time to relax, soak in the scenery, or explore one of the nearby walking trails.Overnight in Etosha National Park

day 7 - Damaraland – Etosha National Park

After a delicious breakfast, embark on an adventure-filled day in the company of a local Damara guide. Begin with a visit to Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where ancient Bushman communities engraved and painted over 2,500 rock artworks some 6,000 years ago. Continue to the nearby Living Museum of the Damara for fascinating insights into their traditional culture, before exploring the Petrified Forest — a remarkable geological wonder showcasing the transformation of wood into stone amidst some of the world’s oldest landscapes. Here, you’ll also encounter the unique Welwitschia mirabilis, the oldest living desert plant on Earth. The journey then continues to Namibia’s wildlife haven, Etosha National Park, where you check into your lodge bordering the park and unwind by the pool after a day of exploration.Overnight in Etosha National Park

day 8 - Etosha National Park

After a hearty breakfast, the day is devoted entirely to exploring the abundant wildlife of Etosha National Park, which encircles a vast, parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan. Home to four of the Big Five — elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino — the park was proclaimed Namibia’s first conservation area in 1907 by Governor von Lindequist. Despite its immense size, only the southern edge of the pan is accessible to visitors. Game viewing here centers around the numerous waterholes, some spring-fed and others borehole-supplied, offering ideal vantage points to observe over 114 different game species and more than 340 bird species. Among the park’s popular inhabitants are giraffes, blue wildebeests, plains and mountain zebras, hyenas, lions, leopards, and antelopes such as kudu, oryx, and eland. Endangered species like the black rhino, cheetah, and black-faced impala also roam these plains. A vast network of roads links over 30 waterholes, allowing for an extensive and diverse game-viewing experience across the park’s varied landscapes.Overnight in Etosha National Park

day 9 - Etosha National Park

After a delicious breakfast, your guide takes you on a thrilling game drive through Etosha National Park. Today offers another opportunity to encounter wildlife species you may not have seen the previous day, with new surprises awaiting at the various waterholes visited. Dominating the park is the vast Etosha Pan — a striking salt desert nearly 130 km long and up to 50 km wide, surrounded by numerous watering holes. During the dry season, this parched and cracked landscape draws countless animals to the scarce water sources, making for exceptional game viewing. In the rainy season, Etosha transforms into a lush oasis, teeming with life as young foals, cubs, and chicks play amidst the fresh greenery. In the afternoon, we continue to our lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the evening at leisure.Overnight in Etosha National Park

day 10 - Etosha National Park – Windhoek –

After breakfast, you journey back through the heart of the country, passing vast stretches of bushland savannah en route to the capital, Windhoek. Time permitting, you may stop at the well-known woodcarvers’ market in Okahandja or browse the craft market along Windhoek’s main street for a few final souvenirs. The city itself is a vibrant blend of European architecture and African culture, offering an excellent selection of restaurants. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your chosen accommodation or transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
