Excellent introduction to central Europe with knowledgeable and capable guide. Well situated hotels with very good ammenities.
While some parts of the tour were amazing…. Cider and vinegar tasting! Other parts like the Luxury Coach…. Which was nice but too small left a little to be desired!
We absolutely enjoyed the Back Roads Tour. Our Tour guide Kinga and Driver Roland were amazing. Kinga was a great coordinator and full of information. Roland was engaging and an incredible safe driver. We highly recommend Back road tour company.
Great trip - kinga and Roland were a fantastic team. Somethings were a bit rushed, I realise on long bus trips breaks are needed but I would have appreciated in some things such as Olmaroc being better advertised and more time being allocated it was a highlight of the trip
Good range of venues and experiences, greatguide Kinga. Good driver. Only downside was uncomfortable coach with insufficient leg room.
Loved the whole trip. The itinerary had a lovely balance, loved the small towns and small businesses, local food. Our tour guide and driver were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Our fellow travellers were great company. Would happily do another Blue-Roads Tour.
A very interesting and enjoyable trip. We had no idea how pretty Poland is. Our guide was great and the driver very skilled. It was great to get off the main highways and also to stay right in the middle of the old towns.
Overall this tour was full of variety. Kinga, our tour guide, was well prepared, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Initially the bus size took some getting used to, knee issues! Most of the provided meals were delicious but some were not substantial and the jury is still out on the cheese lunch experience! There were some memorable visits to many beautiful places, and all the participants on the tour were friendly and punctual. The sharing of photos and information on WhatsApp was a great idea.
Excellent tour guide. Excellent driver. Hotels were very nice and the breakfast was delicious. Visiting historical sights, very good guides through the cities.
Marta was great, she made the trip excellent.
Fabulous way to see Eastern European countries, with an expert guide who spoke Hungarian, Slovakian, Polish and Czech. We heard and experienced so much of the history and culture of those countries. Loved the extras we did, like wine tasting in the wine growing district, cooking traditional Polish food, visiting an authentic, ‘living’, traditional Hungarian village, the amazing guided tours of the towns and cities we visited… as well as the other visitor experiences offered. Small group of like minded travellers made it a lot of fun too.
Wonderful stops on the tour. Welcome dinner food was terrible, would have appreciated a glass of wine. Tour guide Kinga was wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable. Plenty of downtime. Hotels were very good. It was a wonderful trip, everything was seamless.
Interesting tour, gave insights of authentic lifestyles and attractions from salt mines to riding a venicular to the top of the mountains. All hotels were really comfortable and wonderful locations in the centre of villages. Auschwitz was a must visit and I got to lay a wreath for the Aussies in respect for them. It was a truly moving experience. Tour guide Kinga was lovely and coach driver was also very respectful and careful as he drove us through 4 countries.
Tour was well organised. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was approachable. The driver was excellent, always felt safe during the drives. He was very considerate of all passengers.
Our tour guide Kinga was exceptional and we learnt so much about the culture and history of each country we travelled through. The accommodation was very comfortable as was the bus in which we travelled each day. The walking tour guides were passionate about their towns and taught us so much not only of the politics but of important individuals who lived there.
Our guide was so good, she did such a good job. The areas we visited were beautiful.
This was an excellent tour. We had a knowledgeable and caring tour guide in Kinga. The driver was safe and courteous. The accommodation couldnt be faulted and the places visited and experienced were interesting and varied. We will investigate future tours with BRT in other parts of the World for our next holiday.
This tour was recommended by our travel consultant in NZ. We had a tour of some of these countries via Trafalgar in 2010 and it was not as in depth or as interesting as we experiences with BRTs. We only had 17 in our group (around 45 with Trafalgar), an excellent tour guide Kinga, who was not only knowledgeable, but cared for our every needs.
This tour was well organised. The tour guide and driver were both excellent. All the destinations were interesting and provided the history in the context of the city and country. The only drawback was the space in the bus as it was a tight squeeze for the number of people.
A land of ancient cities, time-honoured culinary customs and ever-changing landscapes, Eastern Europe rewards those ready to explore. Picture pastel-hued Old Towns frozen in time and hearty local cuisine crafted with love and tradition. Add soaring mountains that graze the sky like fragments of giant crystals, and you’ll soon find yourself drawn to this beautifully diverse region. Ready to dive in?
