Hungary Tours for Experienced Travelers

I enjoyed the easy pace and being 3 days in each city. I felt it was long enough to experience the highlights of each city and also have free time to explore.

Had a wonderful time during the trip as Trafalgar ensured that we were well taken care of and handled everything smoothly. The trip was well paced and we have ample free time to ourselves. Their Make Travel Matter and Be My Guest were amazing experiences. Their Travel Director, driver and local specialists were also very knowledgeable and friendly, making the travel experience even more enjoyable.

The tour covers 8 countries in a short time but the tour group saw and did alot in that time. Exceptional tour director Taid and local tour guides. There were plenty of optional excursions or dinners. I got a real sense of each countries history culture and food. Highly recommended.

I know a lot of the countries in the tour were affected by WWII however it would have been nice to have some of those countries other history. I felt like a lot of the tour was very heavily focused on WWII/Cold War. I have an interest in how the people were affected/treated during WWII and what they went through to get away from the situation but even for me it was just too much focus on the devastation/persecution. There was also a very heavy focus on churches and cathedrals which got to be a bit much. Some of the locations on the tour were spectacular regarding scenery and architecture. Rest stops on travel days mostly seemed to be at service stations and it would have been nice to stop in a village instead. Will Slovakia become part of the itinerary at any point in time?

This is our 7th trip with Insight and what differs them from the others is their attention to detail, whether it be on tour, meals, activities within the area that you’re visiting. The trip encompasses a complete history lesson. As for the directors of the tour, you are treated as if you have your own personal concierge service. The directors are well trained and knowledgeable to assist in all your personal needs. This is extremely consistent on every tour we have taken with the company, and why we consistently travel with the company. (Two trips this year!) Thank you for allowing us to share our thoughts! I found the tour very enjoyable. Our tour guide Monica was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to help us in all aspects of the tour. At the end of the tour Monica had created a video of highlights, which I found great to show friends. I would highly recommend Back Roads Touring.
