Budapest Tours and Trips

Cities are absolutely beautiful and worth the fast pace. The stops along the way were perfect. Auschwitz was memorable and more so than I imagined. The optional excursions were absolutely a necessity to be able to see as much as you can in such a short time.

Our tour consultant was very professional,friendly and bought the people together- that while we were experiencing new places it felt like it was with friends. Our tour consultant was also very calm, very kind and knew each of us. Our guide also had information and experiences that really made a difference in appreciation of the history and areas we visited. The accommodation was very comfortable, every excursion was able to be accessed by everyone. All the excursions were wonderful and educational and entertaining. It was also great that we didn't have each day compacted with visits etc so we could take each one on board comfortably.

The itinerary is good but Insight's service is going downhill. First, bottled water was cancelled. Then, name tags (what privacy, may I ask?) then meet and greet, next the posting of daily activities at hotel reception. My cell phone is old and does not do QR codes. So, we personally, have seen the last of Insight.

It was day to day and listed everywhere we were going and what we would be seeing. It might be beneficial to mention about breaks, etc. during some of long travel days. People just need to be aware that changes are possible .

The Balkans are an under-appreciated part of the world and are absolutely stunning. Well worth the visit, especially for those who have traveled all over the world. The tour director was fluent in the local languages as well as English and extremely knowledgeable about the entire region. He kept the tour organized and yet flexible. The local guides were uniformly excellent, fluent in English, and knew more about their cities than they could convey.

Jam packed experience on the Romania / Hungary trip. The Transylvania region was gorgeous with lots of history and stunning landscapes. Only thing I would have wanted was extra time in Budapest as we arrived late Friday afternoon so only Saturday to see the city then flew out on Sunday. I would say as well this is not a trip for anyone that has mobility issues as there was a lot of walking and climbing stairs at the various castles. I truly enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it to others. The tour director and driver were top notch.
