day 1 - Arrive in Cairo
Meet your assigned tour manager upon landing at Cairo International Airport. You will be driven in style to your hotel, where you will be staying for the next two nights. At the hotel, you will be assisted with the check-in process and the pick-up time will be confirmed with you for the next day’s tour. Enjoy your free welcome drink and the remainder of your first day as you wish.
day 2 - Fly to Luxor-visit Karnak, Luxor & Nile river cruise
Enjoy a 5-star breakfast and check-out from your hotel. You will be collected and taken to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Luxor.
Once you reach Luxor, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your 5-star Nile River cruise. After lunch on board, visit two of the most spectacular temples in Egypt, the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temples.
day 3 - Valley of the Kings, Luxor & Nile river cruise
This morning you will visit the highlights of the West Bank, including the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings. Also included are visits to the royal cemetery for 64 pharaohs and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, the latter of which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom approximately in the 15th century BC at Deir el-Bahari.
Upon returning to the ship, set sail towards Edfu via Esna Lock.
day 4 - Edfu & Temple of Kom Ombo
After breakfast you will visit a beautifully preserved Ptolemaic temple dedicated to Horus at Edfu. Buried under the sand for more than 2,000 years, this is one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. After visiting this remarkable site you will return to the ship and sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch will be served on board the ship as you sail towards your next destination. Once at Kom Ombo, you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. Set sail for Aswan after this.
day 5 - Aswan High Dam
After breakfast you will be be taken on a guided tour of the amazing city of Aswan. Start the tour with a visit to Aswan's High Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960 to protect Egypt from the annual floods of the Nile. Then proceed towards the majestic Philae Temple, built in honor of Goddess Isis, the chief deity of the island. After the day's tour, return to the ship and spend the night in Aswan.
day 6 - Aswan & Abu Simbel (optional) fly to Cairo
Today you disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast. You have the option to travel to Abu Simbel in an air-conditioned car, a three-hour drive through a desert, and visit the two temples of Abu Simbel.
Later, you will be transferred to Aswan International Airport, from where you will fly to Cairo. Once you arrive at Cairo International Airport, transfer to hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Overnight stay in Cairo.
day 7 - Cairo: pyramids & Egyptian Museum
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and meet your personal guide and one of our drivers, who will be accompanying you to the Giza Plateau, home to one of the seven wonders of the world. See the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. This is also where you will come face to face with the famous Sphinx.
After exploring the pyramids, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant before being driven to the Egyptian Museum. Following your day's tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
day 8 - Cairo Airport departure
Today you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport from your hotel. If you wish to extend your Cairo stay, you can always contact us.
