Reviews of our Chile Tours for December
Feedback from guests who toured Chile during December.
Great fun!! I think the site description of the itinerary was a bit inaccurate in terms of length and vertical gain for each day. It?s a small thing. We were very happy overall.
What a trip. Been dreaming of going to Patagonia for many years. It was more than I expected in every way. The coordination of everything was amazing. Our local guides made myself and other travelers at home. Taking care of all xfers, overnight stays and helping on the treks. Very informative on everything we were taking in. I consider them friends and will stay in touch with them. The Fitzroy/Cerra Torre and W treks in Torres del Paine were bucket list items for me. More than I expected. Do if you can
We had an unforgettable trip to Patagonia, expertly planned by Santiago. With only a week to explore, we wanted to visit Torres del Paine, Perito Moreno Glacier, and Fitz Roy. Santiago patiently worked with us to craft the perfect itinerary, maximizing our time with tailored activity recommendations, seamless bookings, and private transportation between destinations. Once the trip was finalized, we received a beautifully designed website detailing our itinerary, accommodations, and must-see attractions along the way. Santiago's excellent communication skills truly stood out, as he even helped us resolve a snag when crossing the border between Chile and Argentina. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend Santiago to anyone planning a trip to Patagonia!
Our cycling adventure through the Lake District of Chile and Argentina was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, it was a journey filled with breathtaking scenery, unique experiences, and unforgettable moments. First and foremost, a huge shoutout to our incredible guide, Ale, whose passion, expertise, and energy made the trip seamless and enjoyable. His knowledge of the region, combined with his enthusiasm for sharing it, elevated every aspect of the journey. The scenery was absolutely stunning—Patagonia at its finest. We cycled past shimmering lakes, towering snow-capped volcanoes, dense forests of monkey puzzle trees, and rolling gravel roads that offered both challenge and charm. Each day brought something new: crossing lakes by ferries, spotting tarantulas on the road, and soaking in the vast, untouched beauty of the region. The sense of discovery was unparalleled. Every turn revealed another postcard-perfect view, from tranquil lake shores to the rugged peaks of the Andes. The gravel roads and challenging terrain were made worthwhile by the jaw-dropping vistas and the camaraderie of fellow travelers. Sharing meals and stories with the group fostered a sense of community, making the trip as much about the people as the places. This journey through two countries was more than just a trip; it was a soul-enriching experience. It rekindled a deep appreciation for nature, adventure, and the simple joys of life. If you're looking to fall in love with the world again, this is the way to do it.
The entire trip was a wonderful experience. White water rafting was the most fun, followed by the breathtaking hike across the volcanic area with views of the lake. Pucon and Bariloche were the stars of the itinerary. The gaucho experience was also a high-point, surpassing expectations. One general practice recommendation for G - when people on the trip fall sick, they should be recommended to get Covid-tested, and/or their rooming partners be offered a separate room (understandably subject to availability and additional cost). Reason for this recommendation is personal since my roomie was sick for most of the duration, and while I seemed to survive the proximity unscathed for the week, it caught up with me immediately thereafter.
We had the best time! We had rain, we had snow, we had wind, we had sun. The guides were amazing and filled us with positive vibes and confidence. The group mixed beautifully. Such a great experience.
