My most memorable experience was going inside a Windmill I've always love them from the outside, to be able to see if side was an experience. Also sailing on the Sine river.
Delft Dinner at Eiffel
We had a fabulous and engaging tour manager. Adorable! The tour was more than anything I had expected. The tulip gardens was a disappointment. I was expecting something different, going to the tulips fields and learning about the growing and harvesting the tulips for market and the bulbs for fall. this was a nice tulip garden. We saw nicer arrangements at Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris and even at the Olympic peninsula in WA the tulips fields were spectacular! The tulips gardens in Amsterdam were terribly crowded. I guess expected as we were all there to see the tulips. Otherwise, the trip was incredible, the hotels were perfect and all meals were special and delicious in every way. But the tour manager was the best ever!
I've been raving about this tour experience since I've come home. I can't say enough about Collette staff and our tour director Michael, everything was excellent! The only hotel I was disappointed with was the one in Brugge, but understand it's a historic building so can't fault them. Bed was very comfortable and rooms are large.
