Holland Tours and Trips for Seniors

Hardly “Country Roads”. Most travel was on a motorway. Having said that, without the motorways we would not have been able to experience the breadth of opportunities presented to us.

Very nice combo of three countries and the side trip to Trier Germany was a lovely add-on. All three main countries are very historic which many don't realize. We found the combo of history and modern cultural attractions to be a great combination.

The itinerary had a good pace and I loved the smaller towns we visited. Most of the hotels were great, but it would have been nice to stay in Bruges rather than have a15-20min walk to town. This was my 5th Insight Vacations trip, and I felt that instead of more experiences being included in the itinerary, we had to pay for a lot more optional excursions.

It was great, seen a lot, tour guide was amazing and also boss driver. Only 1 hotel that wasn’t great ( hotel Paradiso) but other than that everything was good

I enjoyed the riverboat. Cruising the water ways. The food was excellent. Service was excellent. Tour managers were excellent. Cleaning staff were excellent. The excursions were fun. Never stayed around for the entertainment. Flight over was awful. Packed in like sardines. Passengers around me were terrible. Flight staff weren’t friendly or happy. They were like robots. The airport in Amsterdam was confusing and you needed a map to figure out were to go. A lot of walking. My car writes picked me up at the Amsterdam airport took me to the wrong hotel. My Your Msnager had to contact them to find out where I was. They came back after an hour of me waiting in the lobby of the wrong hotel, then took me to the Corey hotel. Communication lacking at the car service. Bus transportation was excellent. I wish tipping was included in the price. I wasn’t relaxed that I had to tip all of those people. It was very stressful to have to worry about tipping. Flight home again was confusing in the Amsterdam airport. All of the lines you have to figure out where to go. The airport processing again stressful and confusing. Where to go? TSA!! Staff weren’t that helpful. What to pack on plane was also VERY STRESSFUL. I did get something thrown out. Suntan lotion spray?? Carry on versus check-in luggage??? I’m not especially exciting go on another vacation if I have to fly.

The variety of the trip from architecture, to WW1 & WW2 museums , memorials & cemeteries, to chocolate, waffles, art museums, boat & canal rides kept us all busy and wanting more. It was a great trip!
