This unforgettable Ireland and Scotland guided tour offers travelers a deep dive into the heart of Gaelic culture and history. Dublin impresses with the cobbled courtyards of Trinity College and the millennia old Book of Kells. Experience centuries of rich Gaelic history as you take High-Tea at the Ardgowan Estate near Glasgow and see the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. Glencoe offers a glimpse of Britain’s highest mountain Ben Nevis ahead of a cruise on Loch Ness and the chance to seek out Scotland’s most infamous bonnie monster. Up in the highlands, enjoy a whiskey tasting at a distillery, to uncork tales of smugglers before the vacation embarks on a grand tour of the Scottish capital. Edinburgh doesn’t disappoint with the Royal Mile, home to Edinburgh Castle, Scotland’s Crown Jewels and the Scottish Parliament.
Dublin: See Custom House and travel along the River Liffey. See the Guinness Storehouse, Christchurch Cathedral and St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Cork: Your Travel Director will show you the Grand Parade and South Mall, along with City Hall and the Opera House.
Killarney: Enjoy hearing of the history of Killarney during your city orientation.
Killarney: Soak up the hidden delights of Killarney National Park and the stunning Lakes of Killarney from the unique vantage point of a jaunting car – a traditional horse and carriage. Take a step back in time on the cart as you’re led through the streets of Killarney by a tour guide with intimate knowledge of the town.
Dingle Peninsula: Follow the Slea Head route, a dramatic coastal drive around the Dingle Peninsula, where sheer cliffs, secluded beaches, and ancient ruins reflect centuries of settlement. Pass prehistoric ring forts, beehive huts and Ogham stones, evidence of early Gaelic communities. Offshore, see the Blasket Islands, once home to a resilient Irish-speaking population who, facing isolation and hardship, relocated to the mainland in 1953.
Not as good trip as I expect. Too much talking from tour guide. Optional excursions could have been better
Good trip. However, there were destinations that we were not really interested in such as the stud farm. Tour guide told so many stories that we began to question the authenticity of some of them.
Great itinerary and our guide, *personal info removed by Feefo*, was awesome. Beautiful hotels and beautiful sights to see. Learned Ana saw so much ! Thanks for a great trip.
Right from the beginning, it was spectacular. Our tour guide, Zach, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and entertaining. Our bus driver, Robert, was also amazing. He got us through some pretty tight situations and we always arrived at our destinations on time. Both were polite, professional, and helpful and made our trip so enjoyable. The meals, activities, and socializing with other people on the trip made it a vacation we will never forget.
Our guide, *personal info removed by Feefo* was amazing!! Had wonderful people on the tour and enjoyed every minute. Also, *personal info removed by Feefo* , our driver was the best in the world. What concentration and expertise driving!!!
Beautiful countries, excellent travel guide and an Outstanding Driver in . They showed us fabulous locations and food ! Overall an extremely pleasurable vacation !!!!
*personal info removed by Feefo* was an excellent tour director, We all fell in love with Ireland and Scotland, the people, history, and tours. It was great to reinforce the connection that many of us have through our ancestors.
Very inclusive tour through Ireland & Scotland. Best accomodations. Best tour guide and drivers.
nothing at this time
Wonderful trip with a great guide. I would have preferred less ‘history’ lesson & more sites
It was a wonderful inclusive trip with most of the things we wanted to see. It was well organized and Charlotte our tour director kept things moving smoothly. She communicated everything we needed to know. We would have liked a bit more slower pace or downtime near the end of the trip.
The hotels were good and food was usually very good. The sites were filled with all the history, the castle's, and churches. Overall the trip was enjoyable and educational. The trip was well planned by Brendon Vacations and the two weeks flew by.
It was amazing!!!
We had a great time experiencing Ireland and Scotland. Our trip guide and coach driver were excellent and the accommodations and meals were all top notch!
This was, by far, the best trip of my life! I loved seeing the countryside from the Coach, our tour guide was outstanding, the local tour guides were dynamic and entertaining, the food was delicious and the hotels very comfortable. I would love to do this tour again, it was that much fun.
We enjoyed everything about our 2 weeks in Ireland & Scotland. We learned so much about the history, all the little towns and the attractions we visited. All the accommodations were fabulous. We had great food everywhere we went. Our tour guide was the best! He knew so much about the history which was fascinating. He took very good care of us throughout the trip. All of his planning made the trip so enjoyable & everything was on time. We met some wonderful people, nobody complained, and everybody got along famously! This tour exceeded our expectations!
My wife and I had the most wonderful time on our trip. Our your guide and bus driver were both wonderful, very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting and able to provide great ideas for lunches and dinners. We felt like we experienced and saw many wonderful things we wouldn't have known about and visited had we tried to plan the trip on our own. The hotels were all to notch and the breakfasts great. The optional excursions were all pleasant times to see "the locals". We both would do the exact same trip again, in a heartbeat. Do be aware of how rainy Ireland can be and have plenty of waterproof clothing.
Our tour director was cheerful and charming from the day he met us in Dublin until he saw us off in Edinburgh. The trip thorough without being exhausting, our time was beautifully balanced between bus time, walking tours, exploring lovely towns and gardens, and the restaurant choices were excellent. The hotels were quiet and comfortable, too.
This bus tour was my first time out of the country and a tour. We had a great tour guide and the fellow travelers were very friendly and charming. We had a great time.
The trip was everything I expected and more. Our guide and drivers were the ultimate! I just wish we had more time in each of the locations. I realize we would not have been able to get in everything we did if more time were allowed. The accommodations were fantastic, and meals provided were wonderful.
We had a great trip! The coach was great and our driver clearly knew how to maneuver a big bus! Our tour guide did a good job of summarizing the next day’s itinerary and made sure that there were plenty of stops for the restrooms! I do wish we could have spent more time in some of the stops, ie: St. Andrews. By the time we ate and got our pictures at the Old Course bridge, it was time to go. It would have been nice to explore more of the area, especially the beach. Also, it would have been nice if our guide would have joined us for some of the group meals. He was only able to join us for one on the last day. There sure was a lot to experience! Some of the local guides were a wee bit wordy, one even going through minute details of a palace that we were waiting to go and see for ourselves. Felt that he wasted twenty minutes of our valuable time. We also had two experiences at a type of dinner theater, where one had poor seating and mediocre dining and the other was much better with good food and good entertainment! The first one seemed over-hyped by the guide. Overall, we enjoyed the trip very much.
Our tour director and bus driver were excellent.
Our 14-day tour through Ireland and Scotland was spectacular! Our Tour Director, with Insights Vacations, did an outstanding job educating us about the history of each country, city, town, village and/or site we visited. She also had a wealth of knowledge and was very informative of the local demographics. She was exceptionally caring of all the tourists in our group. We appreciated the level of extra care she took to disinfect the coach when travelers started coughing. Her ability to schedule and managed the 28 people on our tour and keep us on scheduled was amazing. Siophan's Irish humor and personality were one of the highlights of our trip. Our coach driver artistically and masterfully maneuvered that huge bus through narrow roadways and streets. This trip was a bucket list for me and my husband and one we will never forget. Thank you!
I really enjoyed the trip we just took. However there were a few spots on the itinerary that could have been left off. There were towns we spent too much time in with nothing to do and others not enough time in to do anything. Overall the tour guide was fabulous the bus driver was above excellent. The accommodations were very good. So my recommendation would be to do one of the two countries and spend more time in some areas and the do the second country later.
We had a fantastic time. The tour was really well organized and executed. Our tour guild has a great personality and was very knowledgeable.
