The trip was amazing Ireland is beautiful! Our tour took us to some ou of the way places I’m sure I would never have been able to find. Our driver and tour guide were outstanding
Itinerary is great but it’s rushed in some places. Food is limited with not many choices. Bus driver and travel director were amazing, couldn’t have asked for better. Definitely not a relaxing trip but we’re so grateful to have had this opportunity to visit Ireland.
I thought The Best of Ireland was an amazing trip that hit all of the highlights of Ireland with some extras that were very enlightening! I loved the sheep herding excursion. It was very interesting and the lunch was amazing! The owners were a delight and were genuinely happy to have us experience their sheep farm and home-made meal. Apparently, this was the first time visiting and I think Trafalgar should make it a permanent addition. All of the hotels were pretty nice and there were walkable restaurant/shopping options. Our tour guide, **************, was absolutely wonderful! We ended up staying an additional week in Ireland and visited Hook Lighthouse. I think this would be a wonderful addition to The Best of Ireland. Thank you for all of the awesome memories!!
We were nervous about our first bus tour. But happily had the time of our lives. Our TG Allie was perfect. The itinerary was excellent.
Really great schedule and tour director !
Tour guides were great. Would be nice if the bus stopped a little more rather than just driving by. Missed out on a lot of good pictures. We had a good group of people on the bus.
Overall great itinerary! More time could have been allocated to seeing the Cliffs & Blarney castle
Wonderful trip. Great host (Alie) who was totally well versed on histories and interesting facts about geography, etc. on every area that we visited. I can not say enough about our total satisfaction with the tour.
The itinerary on this trip was wonderful, you had the mix of city and countryside. What made this trip reallly, really good was the Tour Director, Allie. She imparted so much knowledge throughout the trip, both historical and folk lore. She was fun, engaging and created a close group out of 47 of us on the bus.
Very busy but great. The history of Ireland as it was being told to us was very interesting also.
It was a very good Itinerary although there is so much to see in Eire. Our Bus Driver Dave was not Friendly Shane our Tour Guide was not friendly on the first few days and seemed very stressed. He warmed up a it towards the middle of the trip and improved after that. Some optional extras were not available with little explanation as to why. This was confusing as they were advertised as available when we booked which helped us decide on picking the tour only to discover the were not even offered when we got there! Hotels were fabulous except Galway which was older and a bit dated with hard mattresses Food and meals were excellent. We liked the surprises that Shane organized. And his knowledge and history was excellent
Enables you to have a quick look at most of areas of interest. Tour leader and driver were excellent. There was no question that was unable to answer.
Fabulous itinerary. TD was exceptional! Funny, knowledgeable and loved all his stories!
and made the trip so much fun! being a life long resident of Dublin was extremely knowledgeable of his country and his special touches along the way added to the overall experience and enjoyment. You have true winners in both! was an excellent driver as well as very personable! Great trip and Ireland is as beautiful as all my friends who have visited attested. Thank you and to all the Trafalgar personnel I dealt with in scheduling and answering any questions I had up until departure! Will always recommend Trafalgar (My 7th trip) especially for singles traveling alone! 🇺🇸
We loved our “Best of Ireland” tour. We went 3 days earlier to Dublin to do a few tours on our own (stayed at The Grafton which was Excellent) then met up with the Tour Director *************** & our driver Salah. We visited everything we wanted to & more! Each stop was just the correct amount of time. We would recommend this particular Ireland tour with Trafalgar to anyone wanting to see pretty much all the special landmarks of Ireland in one trip! The coach was very comfortable and clean. The hotels & meals were excellent as were the Optional Experiences! Bernard with 41 years experience & being a Dublin native really made our trip. Thanks to our amazing driver Salah for your safe driving on such narrow roads. So much history in Ireland & Bernard told it to us as “a story”…so interesting. Trafalgar is top notch. Everything is taken care of.
We have seen so many things during our trip it was amazing. The fact that everything was looked after was helpful.
Excellent tour guide and bus driver.
Our itinerary was a detailed plan of each day's journey with a list of places we were visiting that day. Which is a wonderful to have, it gave you a heads up on planning your day.
The itinerary was jam packed with a variety of interesting events. We started in Dublin and moved on to Waterford for an up close view of master craftsmen working on specialized crystal projects. We watched them heat and blow glass. We visited multiple castles and enjoyed a dinner theater in a castle one night where the audience participated in acting. It was quite lively and fun! We went to Blarney Castle, watched a sheep herder call his border collies to round up a small herd. The Kylemore Abbey was extremely interesting and located on the most gorgeous, picturesque location. St.Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and Trinity College were not to be missed. The Cliffs of Moher were exactly as picture, but more impressive in person on a blustery day. Even the pubs of Ireland are worth a book of their own with brightly painted exteriors and beautiful flower baskets. Our guide was excellent! He was courteous, informative and humorous. Altogether, it was trip I'll always remember.
The itinerary was perfect with wonderful stays in Dublin, Kilkenny, Kilarney and Galway. So many highlights along the way. Our kids (ages 19 and 16) thoroughly enjoyed themselves at Malzard's Pub and Hurling experience and also the Blarney Castle. The dining was excellent and our guide was the best host we could have asked for. a true professional along with our driver !
Fabulous tour and guide. Wonderful driver. Attention to detail and well organised.
The Itinerary was good. I did find it very hectic only staying one night in a hotel and moving again the next morning.
Great Itinerary. It definitely lets you see a lot of Ireland in the short time you have. The smaller villages are a must see. The medieval banquet, tea time at the Westport House, and the Bunratty Castle and village were charming. I would highly recommend. Sligo is a pleasant village I would recommend people take the time to explore.
The itinerary wasn’t very comprehensive with only one extra destination before reaching our hotel often each day. I felt we could have stopped at more identified tourist destinations along the route. The Tour Director, while providing good commentary on the coach, very rarely accompanied us by providing a guided walk/tour at the destinations. I felt we were left to our own devices a little too often.
There was a lot of spare time during the day . More places of interest could have been covered. The tour director gave good commentary, but didn’t accompany us at locations
