The trip was amazing Ireland is beautiful! Our tour took us to some ou of the way places I’m sure I would never have been able to find. Our driver and tour guide were outstanding
Itinerary is great but it’s rushed in some places. Food is limited with not many choices. Bus driver and travel director were amazing, couldn’t have asked for better. Definitely not a relaxing trip but we’re so grateful to have had this opportunity to visit Ireland.
I thought The Best of Ireland was an amazing trip that hit all of the highlights of Ireland with some extras that were very enlightening! I loved the sheep herding excursion. It was very interesting and the lunch was amazing! The owners were a delight and were genuinely happy to have us experience their sheep farm and home-made meal. Apparently, this was the first time visiting and I think Trafalgar should make it a permanent addition. All of the hotels were pretty nice and there were walkable restaurant/shopping options. Our tour guide, **************, was absolutely wonderful! We ended up staying an additional week in Ireland and visited Hook Lighthouse. I think this would be a wonderful addition to The Best of Ireland. Thank you for all of the awesome memories!!
We were nervous about our first bus tour. But happily had the time of our lives. Our TG Allie was perfect. The itinerary was excellent.
Really great schedule and tour director !
Tour guides were great. Would be nice if the bus stopped a little more rather than just driving by. Missed out on a lot of good pictures. We had a good group of people on the bus.
Overall great itinerary! More time could have been allocated to seeing the Cliffs & Blarney castle
Wonderful trip. Great host (Alie) who was totally well versed on histories and interesting facts about geography, etc. on every area that we visited. I can not say enough about our total satisfaction with the tour.
The itinerary on this trip was wonderful, you had the mix of city and countryside. What made this trip reallly, really good was the Tour Director, Allie. She imparted so much knowledge throughout the trip, both historical and folk lore. She was fun, engaging and created a close group out of 47 of us on the bus.
Very busy but great. The history of Ireland as it was being told to us was very interesting also.
It was a very good Itinerary although there is so much to see in Eire. Our Bus Driver Dave was not Friendly Shane our Tour Guide was not friendly on the first few days and seemed very stressed. He warmed up a it towards the middle of the trip and improved after that. Some optional extras were not available with little explanation as to why. This was confusing as they were advertised as available when we booked which helped us decide on picking the tour only to discover the were not even offered when we got there! Hotels were fabulous except Galway which was older and a bit dated with hard mattresses Food and meals were excellent. We liked the surprises that Shane organized. And his knowledge and history was excellent
Enables you to have a quick look at most of areas of interest. Tour leader and driver were excellent. There was no question that was unable to answer.
Fabulous itinerary. TD was exceptional! Funny, knowledgeable and loved all his stories!
and made the trip so much fun! being a life long resident of Dublin was extremely knowledgeable of his country and his special touches along the way added to the overall experience and enjoyment. You have true winners in both! was an excellent driver as well as very personable! Great trip and Ireland is as beautiful as all my friends who have visited attested. Thank you and to all the Trafalgar personnel I dealt with in scheduling and answering any questions I had up until departure! Will always recommend Trafalgar (My 7th trip) especially for singles traveling alone! 🇺🇸
We loved our “Best of Ireland” tour. We went 3 days earlier to Dublin to do a few tours on our own (stayed at The Grafton which was Excellent) then met up with the Tour Director *************** & our driver Salah. We visited everything we wanted to & more! Each stop was just the correct amount of time. We would recommend this particular Ireland tour with Trafalgar to anyone wanting to see pretty much all the special landmarks of Ireland in one trip! The coach was very comfortable and clean. The hotels & meals were excellent as were the Optional Experiences! Bernard with 41 years experience & being a Dublin native really made our trip. Thanks to our amazing driver Salah for your safe driving on such narrow roads. So much history in Ireland & Bernard told it to us as “a story”…so interesting. Trafalgar is top notch. Everything is taken care of.
We have seen so many things during our trip it was amazing. The fact that everything was looked after was helpful.
Excellent tour guide and bus driver.
Our itinerary was a detailed plan of each day's journey with a list of places we were visiting that day. Which is a wonderful to have, it gave you a heads up on planning your day.
The itinerary was jam packed with a variety of interesting events. We started in Dublin and moved on to Waterford for an up close view of master craftsmen working on specialized crystal projects. We watched them heat and blow glass. We visited multiple castles and enjoyed a dinner theater in a castle one night where the audience participated in acting. It was quite lively and fun! We went to Blarney Castle, watched a sheep herder call his border collies to round up a small herd. The Kylemore Abbey was extremely interesting and located on the most gorgeous, picturesque location. St.Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and Trinity College were not to be missed. The Cliffs of Moher were exactly as picture, but more impressive in person on a blustery day. Even the pubs of Ireland are worth a book of their own with brightly painted exteriors and beautiful flower baskets. Our guide was excellent! He was courteous, informative and humorous. Altogether, it was trip I'll always remember.
The itinerary was perfect with wonderful stays in Dublin, Kilkenny, Kilarney and Galway. So many highlights along the way. Our kids (ages 19 and 16) thoroughly enjoyed themselves at Malzard's Pub and Hurling experience and also the Blarney Castle. The dining was excellent and our guide was the best host we could have asked for. a true professional along with our driver !
Fabulous tour and guide. Wonderful driver. Attention to detail and well organised.
The Itinerary was good. I did find it very hectic only staying one night in a hotel and moving again the next morning.
Great Itinerary. It definitely lets you see a lot of Ireland in the short time you have. The smaller villages are a must see. The medieval banquet, tea time at the Westport House, and the Bunratty Castle and village were charming. I would highly recommend. Sligo is a pleasant village I would recommend people take the time to explore.
The itinerary wasn’t very comprehensive with only one extra destination before reaching our hotel often each day. I felt we could have stopped at more identified tourist destinations along the route. The Tour Director, while providing good commentary on the coach, very rarely accompanied us by providing a guided walk/tour at the destinations. I felt we were left to our own devices a little too often.
There was a lot of spare time during the day . More places of interest could have been covered. The tour director gave good commentary, but didn’t accompany us at locations
It was a great trip & did a really great job telling us about Ireland & driving us around. would always take care of our luggage and see that it got to our hotel rooms & back down to the bus!
Was the best
Trafalgar is a great company, I have had no problem. Their tour are awesome.
The itinerary and arranged sites were ideal. Our tour director was superb. Some of the hotels were below our expectations. The arrangements for dining were very good.
I booked my first trip with Trafalgar based on all the excellent reviews. Perhaps not the wisest strategy. Some suggestions would be: Book all the optional experiences. (Realizing that your tour guide will pick and choose what these may be.) Otherwise you will spend a lot of time in tourist shops and/or the pubs; If the bus is packed to capacity, you WILL be sitting at the very back at least one day due to group seat rotation. So pack motion sickness meds; Rain pants are a necessity. Think Jane Austin- the rain really is torrential; Do your research for activities and don’t rely on the tour guide and company to know what is really enjoyable. You will have a lot of free time; Budget extra money, because you will be shopping a lot. In summary, I drank way more than usual due to all the waiting. My lasting memory will be that of my partner standing in the pouring rain, looking like a drowned rat, while we waited for the pubs and stores to open, as we waited out yet another optional experience.
Relaxing and well organised tours
The trip was fabulous and the Tour Director- Shane was an amazing historian and incredibly informative! My main critique was the disappointment in not being able to secure a pre-night stay despite numerous calls and messages in the online chat. Perhaps because of the American football games- but I do feel that this was a huge disappointment. I ended up forfeiting the first night at Clayton Dublin as I did not want to move twice. In future- please communicate better and more timely on pre-night stay- the website- even though I checked 30 daily 30 days before trip- calls and website-the website never allowed me the option to book the pre-night and despite numerous calls and 'excuses' I eventually was told there was no availability.
Was a great time, we saw so much and enjoyed every day to the fullest!! Our tour guide was the greatest we have ever had!!!The bus driver was so much fun also!! We got to see so much more than we expected because the two of them took us off the regular tour route and got us to see the way people lived. went to several pubs and saw how the people moved the sheep with their dogs!! We kissed the Blarney Stone, saw the cliffs of Mohr, all in all the 10 of us had a great time!!!
Packed full of great destinations and great tour guide and driver
Not all extra activities offered. Not all airport transfer options given. Was only advised of need for Euros a few days before departure.
Had a great time. The tour guide and driver were very accommodating and professinal.
Sally was an excellent tour guide! Tour was awesome, great visits(including included and extra excursions),well planned and organized!
It was all I could ask for and more and I thorough enjoyed everything offered as well as the extras. I kissed the Blarney Stone and the man assisting me to do so. I was terrified.
Our leader gave us a great base knowledge for every stop we made. The sight are breath taking. The hotels were fine. The food was good and our over all experience was just very nice. If the world wasnt so big i would go back for more. Italy and Ireland on Trefalgar trips have just been so special.
w@s so informative about her beautiful country and brought it to life for us. Best trip ever. LOVE Ireland and the people.
Comprehensive, delightful and as described in the material. Leader was a bright, energetic and competent leader for the trip and added many small details of history, music and "lore"-with a few lessons in Gaelic. Particularly liked her and tour's emphasis on support of local, small businesses.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Sally, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and shared her love for Ireland with us. She made the trip a fun time. However, we did have a few things we thought could use improvement. The first item was we would have liked a more detailed itinerary before we left home, so that we knew ahead of time roughly how much free time we would have in one place, then we would have had time to plan what we would do with the free time. Most of the free times were spent at the hotel rather than exploring because we didn’t know what we had time to do. We also wish the Shannon River cruise was totally eliminated and we all spent the day in Dublin. Dublin has so much to see , but we only had a short time to see it. Being senior adults, we were disappointed in some of the hotels. The bathtub/showers were not suitable for seniors. The tubs were very tall and for people with bad legs, it was very difficult getting in and out. Some tubs also did not have grab bars which would have made getting in and out a little less dangerous . The tubs were also too slippery for seniors who have stability issues. After several nights we finally had to ask for a bath mat in order to be able to take a shower. Other than the bath issues the hotels were fine. It took us a while to figure out the light system, but once we did, there was no problem. This was our first bus tour and we did have a great time. The people on our bus were awesome and we enjoyed getting to know them.
This was by for the best value for money ever spent on a trip! Well organized with extremely proficient people. Highly recommend!!
Tour Director is excellent.
very good saw everything saw what i wanted see
My husband and I LOVED all the areas we went to and the experiences we did. Unfortunately the Cliffs of Moher were a no-show behind the fog but we saw so many beautiful sights beyond that day. It was cool temps so it was an added relief from the hot and humid back home in Virginia this time of year. Our Tour Director, was absolutely fantastic! Knowledgeable, Fun with a bit of comedian! I would definitely take another tour with him. , our Tour Bus Driver, was incredible as well. It was smooth sailing down the incredibly treacherous roads of Ireland. This tour gave us a taste of everything and excited us to come back for more!
I had a great time on the Best of Ireland trip! The guide, *personal info removed by Feefo* was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and thoughtful in regards to the needs of the people on the tour. Our coach driver *personal info removed by Feefo* was also great, I was so impressed with how he navigated the narrow Irish roads!
Been on other tours you always charge extra optional should be included
Well rounded. I believe we hit the highlights of Ireland.
*personal info removed by Feefo* was hoot!! Lots of fun. Great itinerary and the motorcoach was brand new. Highly recommend.
It's a bit on the busy side. Good for people who really want an overview of Ireland but a bit challenging for people who like to really see a certain place. It was extremely well organized and there was free time. The guide *personal info removed by Feefo* and the driver *personal info removed by Feefo* were amazing. The details about the history and the culture of Ireland were incredible. The optional experiences ( I only partook of one) were available in almost each spot we stayed in. By not participating in those options there was more free time to explore.
Well organized, felt so safe. So much history, the country is so beautiful . Loved the weather
The itinerary was excellent with stops at all of the best places in Ireland. What was also special is that Trafalgar plans stops at small out of the way places as well. The days were wonderfully organized and full of adventures!
Very active, and lived it that way. Saw so much, learned so much, laughed so much! Just wonderful!
The tour director *personal info removed by Feefo* & coach driver *personal info removed by Feefo* were the magical team they truly made the trip memorable!!! So much history and interesting stories they shared and music and jokes. This trip covered so many wonderful places and so much history was shared. Everyone was so welcoming and thrilled to share their customs and knowledge at each stop. The views at Ring of Kerry and so many other stops were breathtaking. Our only rain day was at Cliffs of Mohr, the mist was thick and after an hour it was like a miracle the sun came out and the fog lifted!! We made new friends to add to all the beautiful memories. This trip has been at the top of my bucket list for 50 years!! And thank you Trafalgar you delivered!!!! We covered so many highlights in 10 days :)Thank You!!
it was an excellent choice for anyone interested in an overall view of southern Ireland which included history, music, culture and sports, did a fine job with leading the group with personality, knowledge and professionalism, Keep up the good job.
Great tour guide. Great driver. Several stops did not give us enough time for exploring the sight. Some of the extra excursions we went to were repetitive. I am a retired Chef, some of the included menus were repetitive and limited. Accomodations were for the most part very nice.
The Best of Ireland tour by Trafalgar gave us an excellent opportunity to see and experience Irish culture, history and geography. We were able to see city centers and as well as small villages. We enjoyed the countryside as well as ancient castles. The coach was very comfortable. The trip was well organized. We had an excellent tour director and an excellent driver and they took care of all the details. Overall, this tour was a great way to experience Ireland!
Excellent insights into the beautiful country of Ireland. Our tour director was exceptional, sharing both the sights and sounds and his personal insights about the many places we visited. Our tour group added greatly to the experience and in a relatively short visit I feel we got a real feel for the many places we experienced.
This was an incredible trip. It is a great way to see a whole lot of Ireland in a short period of time. Each day was fun packed with multiple stops and scenic rides. No worries about hotels, driving and entry fees. All taken care of! This was our second but not last Trafalgar trip!
As it says best of Ireland! Got to see country sides, cities, pubs, local places and people
It was a great mix of sightseeing, travel, down time and activity!
Excellent guide, and good service throughout. I wished we could have had more time in Dublin and Galway and could have skipped Waterford.
This tour was awesome. was a super guide. The food was excellent. Enjoyed every optional experiences we took. Was my granddaughter's first out of country trip. We made wonerful memories together.
The trip took us to historic sites and beautiful countrysides throughout Ireland.
The tour director made this trip extra special with his knowledge of Ireland
Great! Kept us busy every day.
We had a fabulous time on our Trafalgar Best of Ireland trip. We saw so much of the country over 10 days, but never felt rushed and no long travel days. Our tour guide was exceptional - her knowledge of the country was brilliant, and she always built in some free time in each location for us to explore at our own pace. Our bus driver, was a fabulous driver, highly-skilled on the narrow roads, and such a lovely friendly fellow as well. The additional elective tours and dinners were all great, very well-planned, and definitely worth the additional expense.
, our guide was excellent. She constantly updated our knowledge of Irish history, and gave thoughtful introduction to me. She was consistent and always on top or everything, and sweet. I had a wonderful first trip to Ireland with its richness and surprising history of Pirate Queen, Grace O'Malley, etc. Trinity College was another wonderful experience. I had not heard of Book of Kells, and I was introduced to it. Now I appreciate history of Ireland. I totally enjoyed this trip.
This was a magical trip! I loved every stop on the itinerary and our tour director along with our bus driver had wonderful insight about the local areas. Our group of travelers all were fantastic lovely people which also enhanced the experience.
very scenic tour. Professional guide and Driver was amazing.
Excellent itinerary great mix of activities. James was the best travel director we have ever had. Extremely knowledgeable and a great personality. Our driver Michael was also top notch. He did an amazing job navigating the traffic. Also super convenient having our luggage delivered to and picked up at our room. We would highly recommend this trip
The trip was great. The tour director was fabulous and the driver was great as well.
It was very well organized and planned to satisfy places for everyone and had enough time for all to see and shop -- the hotels and food was a good selection for everyone. the tour guide and bus driver were fantastic.
The small businesses were great to visit and support.
Everything went very well and I saw so much of Ireland and was very impressed with our Tour director and coach driver. Excellent ..
Our trip was truly unforgettable, thanks in large part to our amazing travel director, and our incredible driver. I honestly can't imagine this journey without them. deep knowledge, organization, and infectious enthusiasm brought every destination to life, while skillful driving and calm, friendly presence made every mile feel safe and enjoyable. Their fun personalities, teamwork, and genuine care for each traveler created such a welcoming and positive atmosphere. I feel so lucky to have experienced this adventure with them leading the way!
I think that the "extras" that we had to choose from the first day should be broken down into two. We chose all of them the first day, but by the end of the end of the week, we didn't want to do some of them and felt we had to because they were already paid for. If you could make those decisions a day or two in advance, or first half of trip and second half, I think you could make a better decision about it. Others on the trip that did not do the extras would have chosen to if they had the opportunity.
Fast pace. A lot to see and take plenty of pictures for the memories. Fantastic tour guide. Made a lot of new friends.
Fantastic adventure tour, visiting all the sites in the Republic of Ireland! Our tour guide is brilliant! He filled our days with incredibly interesting historical facts seasoned with his spectacular sense of humour! Our driver, carefully navigated all the twisty, narrow roads, and got us safely to all our destinations. The hotels were all First class, and the food was scrumptious.! Our hearts are full of wonderful memories from this amazing trip and we highly recommend it to anyone wishing to take in all the sites of Ireland, including Dublin. We are now looking at booking a Best of Italy Trafalgar tour.!
NONE of the hotels had air conditioning and windows only opened about 6 inches. It was very hot in the rooms. Hotel rooms do not have refrigerators. One hotel did not have an elevator making it difficult for seniors to get to there room. Way too much walking for seniors. Very fast paced...and...not enough time at destinations. Too much time wasted (up to 6 hours) sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for the hotel rooms to be ready....could have spent more time at destinations instead. Destinations were incredible! Extra destinations/excursions were incredible and well worth it! Daily itinerary should have approximate times, so that the traveler can better manage their time/experience. Beautiful Country! Would LOVE to go back!
This was the most incredible trip! The people of Ireland were just amazing! Loved everywhere we went on this trip! Our tour guide was with out a doubt ithe best guide I have ever had on a trip! His knowledge was incredible! He made the trip feel effortless and safe! Wonderful personality! Our driver was a huge plus! He took great care of us all and his personality was a major plus also! I wish I could have this duo on every trip I take!
It was fantastic. From start to finish everything was A+. Our travel director was amazing so personable and he went out of his way to make sure that s we were all having a great time. He was so knowledgeable and kept us entertained with his wit and stories.
The itinerary was a good mix of scenic Ireland, history, local life, the people, gardens, castles. Our driver and guide were excellent. Perfect way to get a good taste of Ireland.
The itinerary was perfect. I enjoyed every sight, every excursion, and every meal. I encourage everyone to spend the extra money and do the optional experiences as well.
Itinerary is not too full to enjoy being on vacation! Also appreciated the revised ear pieces on the Vox for hearing aide wearers!
Beautiful country to see and the tour guide and driver were excellent. Accommodations were great.
I did appreciate seeing and experiencing many of the outlined areas in Ireland. I would have appreciated things more if timelines were noted especially for the time being travelled on the bus as well as approximate timelines for tours. This would have made the decisions easier when wanting to book the optional excursions. At times, I felt we were rushed with some stops and then stopped for certain experiences that I think might have been offered optionally. We appeared to often travel through small towns not stopping to enjoy them yet going to something that wasn’t noteworthy for me. I also felt the many hotels were dated and not located close to towns so that even though you had a short amount of free time it was difficult to walk to explore the town. I did appreciate our tour director and bus driver and their professionalism. I liked the stories and information provided to us while travelling. I thought the baggage handling was exceptional and very much appreciated having this offered. I did not appreciate how menus for meals included appeared to be different with options than what the regular restaurant menu contained.
Enjoyed this trip very much and would highly recommend it to others.
Wonderful trip
I don't think all the optionals should be listed, when you get the final optionals the list has been reduced to six, that is only the definite ones should be listed on the first information received. The people that have the banquet have too many bus groups there, therefore it is very difficult to see the entertainment unless you are up the front. The first hotel is too far out of Dublin, but I realize that the closer to inner Dublin that they are probably more expensive.
So much to experience. The culture, history, and overall beauty of this trip is off the charts. Visiting in May was exceptional, dont forget your rain jacket! Our guide was a true expert, historian, and remarkable host. She was such an integral part of everything and was on top of detail. We had such a great time, we will definitely visit again.
Great tour director in Marve and wonderful sceneries
Great optimal experiences.
The flight on British Airlines in coach was terrible! We were packed in like sardines! Very uncomfortable/ not able to sleep. The tour was great. Guide ))had a very pleasant historical knowledge of her country. Was very organized and had us prepared for weather. She had special gifts in recognition of our 50th wedding anniversary and our 70th birthday accommodated our foursome celebrating together. Thank you for the nice trip. The experiences were lots of fun. The food was delicious, the hotels were nice. The renovated mental hospital motel was spooky! All the others were fine. I enjoyed learning about hurling! The history of my married name will be researched!
Beyond amazing. our tour guide educated on so many things about Ireland’s history and culture. He entertained us with his music as did our bus driver. We saw beautiful places and met so many nice people in the group and across the island. Great craic!
Well chosen itinerary. many interesting places, easy walking, well described by guides.
is an amazing tour guide! And an exceptional bus driver. The tour was great- gave us a great taste of Ireland and the excursions were great… not one was disappointing. Thank you for a wonderful experience
We had a wonderful time on this tour! Maeve was a wonderful tour guide and a fantastic driver. We had plenty of time at each stop and the information shared about Irish history while we were driving was great.
Great tour if you purchase the optional tours. The hotels are not central, so for dinner you are restricted to eating at the hotel or taking a taxi to a restaurant of your choice.
I think it would have been better in the middle to have a late morning start rather than a free evening, but and our bus driver were fantastic!!
A very well structured and managed introduction to Ireland, its history, culture and geography. Excellent Tour Director and excellent Driver. Good accommodation and meals. Excellent selection of optional activities
This was a wonderful trip! The itinerary was great, the tour guide Maeve, was great! She gave us much info and fun things to enhance the trip. They took care of everything for us. The hotels were very nice, the food was good. I would highly recommend this trip and company/
The tour Director and driver were excellent. Very knowledgeable about Ireland. Saw a lot of wonderful sites.
The overall trip was just as mentioned, a taste of Ireland. I will need to come back to the places I enjoyed best. The time passed quickly & not much time to really spend quality time in any area more than allowed. I had hoped to experience more local culture and food but understand they were feeding masses of people. My tour guide and driver were amazing!!!
It was a wonderful experience ! The only thing that I would suggest is that maybe spend a little more time in the lovely quaint towns. We truly enjoyed our vacation and was the best tour guide . Thank you for an amazing trip !!
We traveled around the country and saw many beautiful sights. But that meant a lot of 1 night stops and time spent on the bus. I think we would have enjoyed it more if we had more multi night stops and less time during the day on the bus. Loved our guide and Louis the bus driver! The trip would be better if it were 12 days instead of ten. Also, our free time was limited. Usually less than 2 hrs at a time, which made it hard to explore.
This is one of the best Trafalgar itineraries we have experienced. So many interesting stops and sights, and still time to explore on your own. The accommodations and meals were top-notch, and our tour guide made this such an unforgettable trip. He was cheerful, helpful, well-informed and it was obvious that he loves his job! We can't wait to return to Ireland!!
The only thing is to double check & then check again regarding your request that food is available for nut free & vegetarian diets. We ran into this problem not only on tour but with American Airlines - we had called & filled out requests more than twice before trip & we still had big problems.
Bus rides too long. Must buy the day excursions or sit and drink coffee for 4 hrs. Hotels arn't available until 4 each day. Too late.
Overall it was excellent. A bit grueling having to move every night but we saw most of the Republic, going around south, to the west and around the top, and back to Dublin. The hotels started out great and after the first two, were not of the same quality. All of them were clean but they were "motels" for lots and lots of motor coaches. The food was great, except the liquid-eggs for breakfast. We saw a lot of extras (that we had to pay extra for) but they were very interesting and worth the extra cost. Highlights include Kylemore Abbet, Westport House high tea, Our Lady of Knock Shrine, the cliffs of Moher, and jaunting cart rides through the National Park in Killarney. Dublin was okay, skip[ the Guinness tour and Epic museums, they really were just pictures without substance. Go to the free museums of Dub,in especially the "Archeology" museum with actual exhibits/artifacts starting 2,500 years before Christ. Dublin Airport was chaos. No signage, not much assistance, especially by American Airlines personnel. TSA and USA Customs were a cinch and very straighforward. Well worth the cost and effort!
I had a wonderful experience in Ireland. The people are the friendliest, the country is absolutely beautiful . Nice hotel choices with breakfast. Our tour bus driver and our guide were the best. Had plenty of time to shop. The pubs were great to visit and soak up the local flavor. History is amazing as well as the architecture, especially the castles. And yes, we had plenty of Irish Coffee, potatoes, beef and butter, all of Ireland's best products. Irish singers and dancers are like angelic treats to the senses.
Just the best holiday!!! Our tour guide and driver were just the best!!! We enjoyed lots of laughter and were amazed by this beautiful country!!! Would not hesitate to go again!!!
Standard route; exceptional experience. Trafalgar guide and driver were exceptional.
The itinerary includes visits to some of the most scenic locations in Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher were breathtaking. The scenery was lush and beautiful. No wonder Ireland is called the Emerald Isle. The people are friendly and welcoming. We were indeed fortunate to experience fine weather on our tour.
The Best of Ireland was a great tour of the Irish Republic. The itinerary covered the sights and experiences that most anyone would appreciate about Ireland. For anyone planning to take this tour, I would suggest you fly into Dublin 2 or 3 days early and experience some things before the tour actually starts. The Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge is a great location and there are several pubs within 5-8 minutes of walking. Be sure to order your tickets for the Guinness Storehouse and do the tour before the actual Trafalgar tour starts. There will be little time on the last day for this. Be sure to visit Grafton Street for some shopping and the Temple Bar area, just for the experience. Our tour director was awesome. She knew Ireland well and made sure we saw and experience the very best. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to visit Ireland.
The itinerary was fine . Well paced. Hotels were perfect though more actually in the city would be nice. I would suggest improving “meet and greet” on the first day. Possibly gathering in some area of the hotel rather than the lobby and just jumping on the bus. Initial name tags and small introductions would be nice . Do like the seat rotation on the bus.
It was loaded with things to see and do. was very informative and we now now more about Ireland. We had a variety of different places to eat and experience. I know it's strange but I really missed my cream in my coffee. My tea during the day was perfect and had milk. The Bus driver was an excellent driver. I think the itinerary was perfect. The food was outstanding. We are going to miss the people and peaceful lands of Ireland. Thank you for a great tour.
We loved our trip to Ireland. our Tour Director and our bus driver were the best. The pace of the trip was perfect, busy but not too busy and allowed free time when needed. We chose a few of the optional tours which were great. We would definitely recommend Trafalgar Tours to anyone looking for a great vacation.
Great trip, full of castles, historic mansions, and dramatic views of the ocean from cliffs. Smart, friendly Tour Guides. I dud find that the hotels were not in the center of the cities we visited, where tourists visited, and so you needed to take a cab or ealk for 20-30 minutes to get to the popular plart of the cities.
It was a true experience & beautiful country.Amazed how clean the whole country was.Would have never been able to see as much on our own. The tour was top shelf.
This was a great trip and saw a lot of Ireland. , our tour guide was so knowledgeable of Irish history helped in making it a memorable vacation. our driver greatest with a small daily and was very accommodating as well. This was our second trip with Trafalgar and they do such a great job, it makes your vacation so much more enjoyable.
Very packed schedule but we definitely got to see the true highlights of Ireland.
Wonderful trip....Jill, our tour director and michael, our driver were both top notch. Hotels were all very nice, just no A/C at most stops.
The trip was packed with many stops and adventures. We saw so much more than we anticipated! Our guide was so knowledgeable . He was so relaxed and fun. And our bus drivers and were very skilled . They made the ride enjoyable. I would recommend this trip to anyone traveling to Ireland.
This Best of Ireland Ireland tour was perfect! It included a little bit of everything. Each place was unique and interesting. I highly recommend this tour!
Had a great trip and got my money’s worth .
very well planned . Plenty of things to do and options.
Very ambitious but doable.
Excellent. The tour director was outstanding and the drive outstanding.
Too much crammed into a day. Not enough time to enjoy each sight. No consideration for individuals who had trouble walking long distances.
The entire trip was perfect. We were able to see so much in the time we were there. I only wish the cliff of Moher had a longer stay. That is the main reason for going to Ireland!
We had a absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and warm tour guide in ! He gave us fantastic insights along out journey. loves his country and loves his job! The stops selected for this tour gave us a great view of the real Ireland today, and of it's history. Absolutely 5 stars across the board! Our second trip with Trafalgar- second 5 stars across the board!
The itinerary was perfect, got to see most of Ireland. If you wanted you could add things in th evening or take it easy as you desired, the extras really added to experiencing what the country has to offer from just a casual evening or entertainment
Itinerary is great, as was the tour director.
The places visited where amazing and we were so blessed with faboulous weather. Our Tour Director , was absolutely brilliant and made the entire trip extremely enjoyable. is very knowlegable, friendly and went out of her way to help. Our driver , kept us safe. My fellow travellers were all so friendly and great new friendships made. It was a memorable 10 day holiday.
Jill and Michael, (guide and driver) were fantastic.
This was the first time that I booked a trip with a tour company. I was truly amazed how well organized everything was from hotel accommodations, sightseeing, and the beautiful countryside. Our travel director, was wonderful. She is well learned about the history of Ireland and gave us a very good history lesson. , our driver, is a true gentleman helping everyone off and on the bus, pleasant, and funny. He was excellent in driving through narrow streets of the cities and the countryside. We were able to have free time to explore on our own on some of the stops that we made. knew exactly how much time we would need and let us roam. There is a bit of walking during some of the sightseeing stops, so be prepared. At the Cliffs of Mohr, there are carts to take people to the top of the hill. This trip gave you the highlights of Ireland. It was a great experience and I will use Trafalgar again.
This was our 2nd tour with Trafalgar and we could not have been happier . The itinerary was everything we wanted plus we signed up for as many side excursions as we could. This really enhanced our experience. Our driver, was so good and so very pleasant. Our tour director, was incredible. She was so thorough and on top of all details all during our trip. Her depth of knowledge regarding Irish people and places was astounding. She definitely made the trip much more enjoyable. A plus / 5 Star across the board!
This was a fabulous tour. Our tour guide , Bernard and our coach driver, who coincidently was also name Bernard were incredible. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable , personable and had a great sense of humour. Ireland has incredible scenery and historic sites and every where we went, the people were friendly, sociable, polite, courteous and always laughing. I recommend this tour
We saw so many beautiful places. We enjoyed our guide and our fellow travelers.
